However for every chemist who says releasing more energy in the form of hydrogen than you put into the reaction is impossible there are thousands of folk out there right now improving their gas mileage through hydrogen generating boosters to their gasoline engines. Scam, plain and simple. Exposed by Mythbusters, among others.
Im not convinced any chemist understands the process of cracking hydrogen comprehensivelyand efficiencies can be gained.
I am.

This seems to be one of those IQ test threads that separate those who believe science is magic from those who accept reality.

I understand the HHO injection idea to improve the efficiency of the combustion cycle- NOT to release more power from the hydrogen than it takes to crack it.
It’s simply an additive that makes the engine squeeze more power and less wasted heat out of the fuel/air/HHO mixture than burning fuel/air alone.
The trick is tuning the engine properly to makeuse of the mixture. More avanced timing, O2 sensor mods, stuff like that.
