I understand the HHO injection idea to improve the efficiency of the combustion cycle- NOT to release more power from the hydrogen than it takes to crack it.

It’s simply an additive that makes the engine squeeze more power and less wasted heat out of the fuel/air/HHO mixture than burning fuel/air alone.

The trick is tuning the engine properly to makeuse of the mixture. More avanced timing, O2 sensor mods, stuff like that.

I nice sounding phrase until you look at the fundamentals of the reaction going on in the engine. Then it falls apart.

Could you please explain how the process described in post 83 this isn’t a viable theory? It sounds more than reasonable to me, similar to adding nitrous.
