The Issue:M
Once again, liberal leaders are pushing the so-called Fairness Doctrine to silence conservative leaders like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Mark Levin. Their goal is clear -- silence conservative speech over the radio airwaves. Read MRCs Special Report: Unmasking The Fairness Doctrine (.pdf)
Help Declare Radio Independence Day!
The Media Research Center is leading the effort to expose and defeat these efforts. The Broadcaster Freedom Act (H.R. 2905) -- a bill in Congress that would ban permanently the so-called Fairness Doctrine. -- is stalled in Congress. We want to rally 100,000 signers by July 4th so we can press every member of Congress to go on record on this vital First Amendment issue.

Congress critter ping!
Totalitarians. Afraid of an alternative voice or argument.
Signed the petition, and sent a quick note to my congress critters...
The left controls the print and television media. I guess that's not enough and they won't be happy until they control radio as well.
It the RATS had their way, it would be a hate crime to criticize any lib/socialist/Dhimmi.
And trust me, if they are successful, the Internet won't be far behind.
Does anyone know if the Rats are successful at silencing conservative talk radio, will satellite radio be affected?
If they pass this P.O.S. then we can just demand equal (conservative) time from CNNBCBSABCPBSPMSNBC
Since ALL the networks are liberal, and only one (mildly) conservative (FOX) then we can end uo with a net gain of conservative broadcast news.
And no one listens to liberal radio anyway
Conservatism v liberalism -— its a never ending battle for truth, justice and the American way.
Please FReepmail to be added to the Congress Watch ping list.
It is error alone which needs the support of government. Truth can stand by itself. ~Thomas Jefferson, Notes on Virginia
(I apologize if are on the list and don't want to be, or are not on the list and used to be. My computer crashed, and the program I used would not restore my files from the backup.)

I called my U.S. senator and rep. yesterday.
We are just about doomed, imo, if they take away talk radio. Next will be the posting boards and blogs.
E-mail, better yet call you reps, even better yet, write them a note (if you have the time to write).
This is HUGE, folks!
Please let me know via PM if you want on/off my ping list.
Thanx.
done. thx for the ping.
Thank YOU for helping our great country to continue to have free speech!
A good cause, but how can a bill permanently ban anything?
“Next will be the posting boards and blogs.”
OPINION:
Well now, individuals and groups are already working against the “posting boards and blogs”, articles, books, speeches — specifically, working against free speech.

Hey Sun! Thanks for the PING.
“Well now, individuals and groups are already working against the posting boards and blogs,”
Everybody check out Cindy’s post #14, and so will I!
These people are “heck”-bent on taking away our First Amendment rights.
Thank you Sun for checking those links out.
I appreciate it.
