In a major shakeup at the Democratic National Committee -- and a departure from tradition -- large parts of the committee's operations are relocating to Chicago to be fully integrated with the Obama campaign.
The DNC's political department, housed in Washington, D.C., will be dramatically rebuilt, with staffers offered a choice of moving to Chicago, joining state operations, or staying in Washington, DNC spokeswoman Karen Finney said.
But the power will clearly be shifting to a centralized Chicago hub.
The DNC's key role in coordinating political operations with state parties is expected to largely be taken over and overseen by Obama's senior staff in Chicago, state party officials said.
"This is part of the implementation of the plans Paul [Tewes] discussed last week with the state party chairs," Finney said. "As part of the efforts to fully integrate DNC operations with the Obama campaign here in Washington, in Chicago and in the states, political, field and constituency operations are moving to Chicago to work in the Obama headquarters. The goal is to consolidate these efforts into one operation and effectively drive one national strategy."
OBAMA is taking power AWAY from Howard Dean and the Washington Democrat elites, and handing it over to the corrupted Chicago Democrat Machine, as well as his hangers-on like Kerry.
ANYONE with a brain could have seen this coming, but for the Idiot Obama worshippers. There is literally HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of dollars at stake, and the Chicago Dem Pols want thier cut of it.
This isn't going to make the DC Dem Shadow Party Establishment very happy.
This could lead to a recession in Washington as Limo Drivers and Private Jet Pilots for Democrats struggle for work and payments, soon...

When the messiah decrees they will obey.
All hail the messiah.
It’s a money grab too.
Prediction: rolling around October Dem candidates will complain about getting no money for their campaigns from HQ.
And will complain the Democratic “brand name” has been usurped by the Obama brand name.
If y’all think the DNC is corrupt now, wait until they have been in Chi-town for awhile.
Taking that bus out for a road trip and some more friends to run over.
Many federal agencies, chief among them the largest federal employer, the Post Office Department, actually relocated their operating headquarters to Chicago leaving behind little more than a Cabinet officer and a handful of cheap tarts with whom he would cajole Congressmen to vote for his budget.
Seems to me they have LOOOOOOOONG memories, if nothing else, in Chicago.
The entire Obama Mania has been engineered by the Chicago Democratic Machine, which go the East Coast Boys (read, Kennedys) on their side. Obama’s just moving the control back the forge that created the corruption, probably under the Machine’s orders.

This will make the campaign become more corrupt and leftist if it has all that Chicago influence.
Good for the conservatives IMO.
The purpose was to build a brand new airport there.
The proposal got nowhere because Indiana had a number of committee chairmen in the House at the time, and I believe Senator Lugar pretty much had a lock on that sort of thing anyway.
Gary, Indiana did get a major airport expansion ~ kind of a big ol' finger to Chicago as I recall it.
No doubt Chicago pols do not wish to work through the Washington insiders anymore, and the lakebottom continues to beckon!
There will be a power battle within there party.
Old guard does NOT like to give their power up.
Barry is getting a little too big for his britches.
Well DUH. Elections have consequences. Chicago pols won and New York pols lost. Too bad, so sad. As for the limo and private jet pilots - they will just have to relocate their business as well.
Other than skirts lifting up on windy days along Michigan Avenue and delicious deep dish pizza, I’d avoid Chicago. Too bad the city is infested with liberals.
Actually, screaming Howard Dean is on board with this plan.
Talk about AUDACITY!
