What is barely alluded to in this article is the fact that Vietnam, like so much of SE Asia, is awash with cheap dollars sourced via FDI. Our biggest export to Asia is inflation.

"A large devaluation would be inflationary," Pincus said... It is counter-intuitive to think that a shrinking dong is actually inflationary. I guess the opposite of "big bucks" is "short dongs".
