Conservative criticism of Michelle Obama has no merit whatsoever and serves only as an outlet of right-wing hatred. That's the impression that Los Angeles Times reporter Robin Abcarian leaves readers with his June 11 story, "The GOP takes aim at Michelle Obama.":
They loved to hate Hillary Rodham Clinton. They loved to hate Teresa Heinz Kerry. And now, it appears, conservative voices are energetically taking on Michelle Obama.
"Mrs. Grievance" bellowed the cover of a recent National Review, which featured a photo of a fierce-looking Obama. The magazine's online edition titled an essay about her stump speech "America's Unhappiest Millionaire."
Michelle Malkin, the popular conservative blogger, called her "Obama's bitter half."
It was an unscripted remark as she spoke in February about the enthusiastic response to his message of hope that set off conservatives: "And let me tell you something," she told a Wisconsin crowd. "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country."
The Obama campaign clarified her remarks right away: "What she meant is that she's really proud at this moment because for the first time in a long time, thousands of Americans who've never participated in politics before are coming out in record numbers to build a grass-roots movement for change."
But conservatives pressed the attack. John Podhoretz, editor of Commentary, wrote that she had inadvertently revealed "the pseudo-messianic nature of the Obama candidacy."
The issue has shown no signs of going away.
Old story. Nothing to see here, let's move along, Abcarian seems to be saying. To that end the Times staffer coughed up a Republican pollster to decry the conservative attack as emblematic of what's wrong with political discourse:
"It's exactly why I hate politics," said Republican pollster Frank Luntz.

I agree with you. In fact, I think that the best thing that can be said about Albert, Jr. was that he married her. She had no political connections and daddy wanted him to marry someone who had them. He married Tipper and from all appearances, they do have a good marriage.
Some things don't change no matter how much you hope they will.
I'm almost nostalgic for Nurse Fuzzy Wuzzy.
Tipper did want to put ratings on music in the 80s but you couldn’t hate her for that. Although some on the left did. lol
If Michelle campaigns for her husband she is far game for the GOP.
I am a victim! I think? I wanna be one.
You know I remember a time when who ever was running for the Highest Office in this great country of ours, that the wife was there to be seen and not heard, after all it was her spouse that was running for office not her.
And that should have held true for Hillary as well, her husband should have shut his yap too! She was the one running not him.
When did we start electing couples?
Oh I guess that started with the Clintons.
My Bad!
Ah man! Did I wake up a racist again today!!!! Can I have just one day off please? Jeez!
They're trying to get them back in the fold by making them angry enough at the GOP to vote for Obama.
Yeah, it's those "unscripted remarks" that speak from the heart. She said it, and she meant it. The only difference between her and the other liberal hags is that's she's black and she will use that to further her ambitions by screaming "racist" when she doesn't get her way!
Thanks for posting that picture. You've captured who they are. ANGRY, BLACK AND RACIST! IMO, this comes from years of listening to Rev. Wright, and being taught to be victims of the white man!
Michelle Obama is an issue, not just because she is out there actively campaigning and running her mouth, but because her employer has received $1 million in earmarks thanks to her husband...

Frank Luntz decrying what the Republicans are doing. I think he’s going PC on us with all the exposure he’s been getting on Fox.
We are going to LOSE and LOSE BADLY if we think that attacking anyone’s wife is a way to win an election. No better way to admit that we don’t have anything of substance to say about the man himself. No better way to persuade Hillary-backing moderate women that Republicans can’t be trusted not to be anti-woman. No better way to persuade moderates with a tendency to white guilt, who nevertheless mistrust Obama, that they are somehow morally obliged to vote for Obama nevertheless to defend his wife from racially-loaded accusations. (While Barack tries to be race-transcendent, it’s pretty clear his wife is down at the Sharpton-Jackson level of race grievance mongering.)
Is this to blame the “swift vets” if a videotape of her ranting ever DOES surface?
They then engineered an unconstitutional creation called the co-presidency (Hillary even wanted to occupy the traditional VP office space).
It is fair game in co-president campaigns. Laura Bush was not proactive in this manner. Neither does McCain's wife seem to be running a politically active campaign role.
Could it be a ploy to just clear the way for Team Hillary Hi-Jinks?
"Pay no attention to that school book building, the shots came from the knoll."
