If the Pakistan government would have taken care of the Taliban problem, instead of granting them a safe haven none of this would have happen.

Pakistan is a silent enemy really. I believe they also knew about 9/11 before hand.

"Taliban militants apparently opened fire and were then joined by Pakistani military forces, setting off an hours-long battle. It is unclear what prompted the exchange of fire."
This reads like the Pakistani forces were fighting alongside the Taliban.

Another problem caused by the Drats sticking their nose into the US foreign policy by advocating Bhutto over Musharef (sp). The result of this has given our trembling ally a case to make peace not war with the taliban/AQ crowd.

This reads like the Pakistani forces were fighting alongside the Taliban. Which is probably why we smoked ALL their candyasses. If you associate with the Taliban and fight alongside them, then expect to blow up real good.

Not to worry - Hussein will solve everything.

At least 11 Pakistani soldiers and 10 other people were killed...
Pakistan's Army, the statement said, maintained "the right to protect our citizens and soldiers against aggression."I could be wrong but if you are going to make yourselves human shields for terrorists is seems to me that you are going to die.
What am I missing here?

But Senator Biden & Senator Hagel went to Pakistan and interfered with their free elections to make sure opponents of Mushareff were elected....!
You mean 20/20 hindsight Biden was wrong about anybody being better than Mushareff in Pakistan, especially now that the government is releasing Taliban officials from prisons?
Well, Joe Biden is NEVER WRONG due to his incredible ability for 20/20 hindsight.....so I must be wrong.

And just what were Pak Army forces doing hangin with the Taliban rebels. I think guilt by association is due here. I also noticed that all the barking is coming from rebel and tribesmen leaders and the official goverment had nothing to say. Time will tell who is the two faced liars are.

More details about the fighting near Mohmand. I asked the question on the earlier thread about our guys fighting on the Pakistan side of the border. It seems that there was fighting on that side.

What the Washington Post fails to mention is that
this is a disputed area on the Afghan-Pakistan border. For more information check out this article from a Pakistani site. There are reports of a skirmish and official Pakistani denial that a skirmish took place.
