WASHINGTON - Republican presidential candidate John McCain spent a marathon day raising money on Monday, and it went well: after events in Virginia and Washington, D.C., the campaign and the Republican Party pulled in more than $2 million...
Finally, there was praise for his opponent-turned-supporter, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
Theres nobody who represents me better today than Mitt Romney, McCain said.
Are you listening, governor? That could be the sound of a vice presidential offer coming down the road

Wow some very nice CONSERVATIVE MEN AND WOMEN in Oregon. Thanks for posting. There really are conservatives in Oregon — MEN AND WOMEN.
I’m not trying to sell him to you.
I recall some folks that didn’t like the 14th. We had to send the 82nd Airborne to have a talk with them. After that we sent the lawyers. They ain’t so mouthy now.
The biggest Judas conservatives have ever known praising the most liberal Governor in the history of the republic.
Joy...
The new John McCain Whig Party just can't make it the ash heap quick enough.
Mitt Romney would be great on the ticket and deliver a bunch of disgruntled Republicans (like myself, for example).
Good evening, Saundra. :-)
You are one sick person.
I agree. Romney would be great.
Good evening, FReeper sis.
We still have Mitt’s bumper sticker on the car and we have some yard signs. I also have a cool Mitt hat. Yahoo! Thanks for posting the picture of Mitt supporters. What a contrast with the others.
Kind of a waste of your time, since John McCain is going to pick the candidate, not us, and he isn’t likely to either read what you wrote, or be persuaded by it.
All of the past, present, and, I’m sure, future negative things involving RomneyCare are already creating serious problems for Mitt Romney politically, and there are a lot of other “Massachusetts problems” during Mitt’s entire duration as Massachusetts Governor that truly haven’t even been brought up yet to the majority of the general public. It would truly take too long to list all of them here, but I have listed examples here on FR in the past. I also have serious concerns with people who use any political offices mainly as stepping stones for runs for President, and I also have serious concerns for people who truly pretend to be conservatives while running for POTUS when their actual records on all of the issues show them to be non-conservatives on most issues (Mike Huckabee also comes across as being another “fake conservative” on most issues.).
If you want Louis Farrakhan and Al Sharpton spending quality time at the White House with their vile racist pal, Obama, then sit the General Election out.
I am going to hold my nose, and pull the lever for McCain.
I am going to do everything in my power to stop Obama's plans to destroy our National Defense, and subsequently our Republic.
What are you going to do?
Put this guy into a position of control over my taxpayer dollars?
Since McCain’s love of Global Warming, I have really been disappointed in him. The guy is worse than Romney when it comes to flip flopping...I was against the tax breaks before I was for them. Sheesh. With Romney a true family man (never divorced) on the ticket, I can with confidence and pride vote for McCain.

I don’t know if I would call McCain a Judas as you did, but he has disappointed many with his call to Global Warming and flip flopping on tax cuts.
Did it ever occur to you that when Romney became more conservative it made him realize just how screwed up the country was going politically? Maybe that is why he decided to run then. It seems to be that he is a rare bird, he is wealthy and very smart. His explaination for running for Governor was that he saw he had some skills that could be put to good use. He has the right vision. He sees himself as a servant. He doesn’t need the money or the power. He is a strong family man with his heart in the right place. We should only be so lucky that more of our polticians were called by such noble aspirations. Our Founding Fathers were wealthy noble men who felt a call to duty, not power. The Democrats are all about power, aka the Clintons. They are rats for a reason.
However, I don't think Americans really have a choice in the matter.
I am not going to give money to McCain or Romney, but I am going to encourage others to vote for them if it means keeping the black version of the KKK away from our taxpayer dollars.
