Jim Geraghty takes a look at longstanding blog buzz over Barack Obamas birth certificate, which the campaign refused to release to the St. Petersburg Times in April:
We tried to obtain a copy of Obamas birth certificate, but his campaign would not release it and the state of Hawaii does not make such records public.
Has anyone seen it? Why shouldnt the record be in the public domain for presidential candidates?
Geraghty walks through various rumors now circulating in the wake of the Obama campaigns birth certificate blackout, including this one:
Rumor Three: His mother did not want to name him after his father, and his birth certificate says Barry. Perhaps the most plausible of the rumors, as Obama was known by that name through much of his childhood and young adulthood. If true, this would spur a new round of When Barry Became Barack stories a minor headache for the campaign, but hardly a major scandal.
Lest the Obama campaign start whining about this issue being an unfair distraction, John McCain underwent intense scrutiny of his citizenship status because of his birth in the Panama Canal zone, leading the Senate to declare him a natural-born citizen in April.
“Youre not running for POTUS with a background of Marxism and ties to enemies of America.”
Every vote for a democrat or a RINO is a vote for Marxism and an enemy of America.
And Jon Carry's complete military records.
Seems that the net is buzzing with this story. So I can bet the talkers will be talking about it too.

His actual Birth Certificate may not be needed to learn this information. His legal name and legal status would have been part of his application to Harvard University, as well as any applications for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA form(?)). Any FreeperSleuths out there that can dig any of that up? Hillary?
I'm betting on the story being unadulterated BS altogether. Since he's JR to his SR father and no evidence has surfaced that his father's name was anything other than Barack Hussein Obama, I imagine his name is the same as the old man's. Secondly his grandfather is Hussein Obama, which makes the middle name of his father reasonable.
As far as him being born in '59... I doubt it seriously. He graduated from high school in 1979 at 18. He graduated from college in 1983 at 22. Both ages are typical. I cannot see him being held back because he's stupid and flunked a couple of years, especially surrounded by parents with post graduate degrees, His high school, Punahou, being a prestigious school of privilege doesn't square with that either. Not to mention Columbia & Harvard.
Some have a tendency to take what is theoretically possible, spread it as rumor and then preach it into fact. But seriously, what are the odds of an 18 year old college girl in her last month of pregnancy being in Kenya while her family is in Hawai'i? Any plane entering the United States from Kenya is deplaning passengers that have to go through customs. You can't even sneak a freakin' orange into the islands let alone a baby.
The folks that believe she brought him into the hospital and claimed he was just born at home or in the back seat of a taxi assume that doctors in Honolulu are morons. Then again, they may have already been enlisted into the Obama conspiracy by the black helicopter guys while standing on the grassy knoll.
All of this said, I looked at my birth certificate and there is nothing on it that could be troubling except it says my dad is a Baptist and I'm not. Maybe his says his father's religion is Islam and that young Barry is a Muslim, which would cause serious happiness and hyperventilation among many. Problem is, I have searched and searched and searched the internet for the Muslim-DNA-Helix, and I just can't find it! It seems overwhelmingly obvious to me that a guy practicing the Christian religion for nearly 40 years, who marries a Christian woman in a Christian church and has his children baptized Christians is probably a Christian. However, that doesn't fit the template where a ten year old Muslim kid decides to change his religion, infiltrate the United States of America as a Kenyan spy in order to become POTUS.
Come to think of it, his father wasn't a Kenyan. His father was born in the British Republic of East Africa and it was still under British rule until 1963. Nairobi looks a bit like Las Vegas, except for that giraffe in the foreground.
Not generally, but this man is running for President of The United States of America.
He is a Marxist, and you folks need to do everything you can to keep him out of the White House. If his birth certificate helps you defeat him, use it.
You are absolutely correct; now to get that message to the average “clueless” American with their heads up their butts.
I was born in Texas and my birth certificate says the same as yours from Chicago and my kids were born in N.J. and their birth certificate's also say the same, and my Granddaughter born in Georgia and hers also says the same. No change in 3 generations as to what is detailed on the birth certificates. My Husband born in Chicago and his also has all those details as well.
So Barracko baby what does your birth certificate say?
Born in the Philippines instead of Hawaii? Conceivable, and if true it would mean that he was not a U.S. citizen at birth and thus is not eligible to become president.
But there is no way that his mother is anyone other than Ann Dunham, since Obama is a dead ringer for Ann Dunham’s father when he was in his 30s.
And even if the RNC had discovered irregularities of BO’s birth certificate, they would not have dared to say anything about it.
but my birth certificate from Chicago lists my parents race and religion.
Greatest bumper sticker yet.
Please comment on this thread. I think someone is misreading what the law says.
It would be funny if he wasn’t really a U.S citizen
Well, I am sure you would have to show it to someone to prove you were eligible to run for office, or not?
I know a family here who were all born in India who are not citizens. Their Kids have no accent because they lived here all their lives, came as little kids and went to American schools, but their parents never became citizens and neither did the kids. So how would you know they were eligible to run for Potus if not for a birth certificate.
Not really.
My birth certificate from Missouri does not list the religion of either of my parents. My husband’s birth certificate from Missouri does not either. Race yes, religion, no. Must be state by state.
My best guess is that his parents were not legally married. He claims he never bothered to confirm it, but I think the true translation of his words is more likely, "I tried to confirm it but couldn't."
