According to the current trading prices of the futures contracts, an estimate can be found of what traders are betting will be the outcome of 2008 Presidential Election.
If the traders are correct, John McCain would receive 249 Electoral Votes and Barack Obama would receive 289 Electoral Votes.
If the weighted probabilities of John McCain winning in the states are added up, and then divided by 538, and multiplied by 100, then John McCain should get 247.87 Electoral Votes.
270 Electoral Votes are needed to win the Presidency.
Opinions and commentary are welcome.

I DEMAND A RECOUNT!
And I expect we’ll get one shortly.
Intrade is dumb at this point, Rass is much better, hell Gallup is much better, this is about cash,Cmon
LOL! That was fast!
Did they do any projections for the previous two pres elections?
How wrong were they then?
I’d be happier if Barry was down 535-0, but if these numbers are correct, it’s still anyone’s game. I think McCain has a genuine shot at taking Michigan and Wisconsin right now.
It’s going to be a long, tough race.
Thread hijack in progress....
(We now return you to your regular program....it's still 107, and Bat's hot and hongry -- but at $4.46 a gallon, he ain't trucking over to Indio for a fatburger.....sigh)
Hey could you get me a double double with a Coke please? I’ll pay you back. :)
LMAO!!!!!!!!!!, My Man!
Have a look at this link at just who supports this guy...

If you look at the individual’s pages you get a pretty good idea of the typical BO voter. I am not ready to believe the majority of American voters are that whacked.
Iowa is still a mystery to me. I can’t imagine Iowa going to B. Hussein, unless lots of people are really looking at his win at the Hawkeye Cauci as the reason for it.
Do you have any links to Rassmussen’s and Gallup’s EC projections? Thanks in advance.
Boy, I would like to gamble with these gamblers! I would be rich quick.
Just do a FR search,it’s all there.....
So that was like a week or so before the election? And we’re still 6 months out.
