I understand (local talk radio) that apartment building owners will be 'asked' to refuse apartment rentals to gun owners....I heard this third-hand so please clarify if incorrect.

You could ban murder on city property. Maybe that would be more effective.

The next step will be to outlaw shooting people without cause. Oh, wait...

The mayor should also ban ‘Cheese Doodles’, the styrofoam-looking kind with orange powder on them ... that stuff gives me the creeps.

Mmmm. Let me see. Police stations are public property. Obviously, the gun-ban applies to police stations, as well. After the officers get their assignments at roll call they’ll have to go home to get their pieces before they can hit the streets. “Be careful out there!”

I missed the first hour of Rush, today, but wasn’t he saying something about King County banning beach fires?

So the mayor wants to selectively enforce the only the nullification of the second amendment to the bill of rights on Seattle City park property.
I wonder when he will recommend that freedom of speech (first amendment) in public places also be curtailed?
People need to understand that this is a Bill of Rights issue not something that mayors can just decide on. I hope that the US Supreme Court decides pretty soon that the 2nd amendment is a right of the individual and addresses the wrongs done by a lot of small time politicians to our basic human rights.

Oh, wait! If clowns are banned, the mayor will be out of a job!

Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels has signed an executive order that asks all departments to come up with a plan within 30 days to ban guns at all property owned by the city.Doesn't the city own the streets? So basically, they're trying to outlaw people carrying guns off their own property? If someone buys a gun, how will they get home???
