It has become obvious by his most recent Greenie stance that McCain is sending a signal that he is willing to write-off traditional Republican conservative support for the mushy-middle aka moderate vote. Even if McQueeg wins in November, his seat will undoubtedly be filled by a Democrat, thereby lessening the Senate Pubbie count. Doesn't the GOP/RNC think about this stuff? Or, are they letting him run because he threatened to pull a "Jumpin' Jim" Jeffords and finally formally affiliate himself with the dems? Who knows?
