I lazily read just the excerpt. What did I miss in the article that negates my comment?
Students always enter the job market in May. What is different now, is that employers are required to pay these largely unskilled, unexperienced workers some 30% to 40% more than they had to in 2007 and 2006 and 2005. Apparently, many employers are balking, so these students enter the ranks of the unemployed, rather than the ranks of the employed.
The key part, about the rise in the minimum wage was included in the excerpt....didn’t even read that much did ya?
