A well-connected authority in the evangelical world said in an interview this week that Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama could get up to 40 percent of the evangelical vote.

He’s an expert what? Guesser? He should join a carnival and get some real practice.
At the right time.
Are these one of those “evangelicals” that support abortion? Hogwash, Obama has the black vote and the brainwashed liberals. That gets him about 35-40%. Perhaps he can win with enough recounts and hanging chads.
But he’s for “change” and “hope” and “hope for change” and all that, and he’s Messianic and vibrant and good looking and....
The Sheeple of the United States...
I predict the sheeple will riot when their Messiah fails.
I’m beginning to get very nervous about that.
For that matter, I suspect they might riot if he wins.

sigh...Where is Wisdom?
There’s a whole lot of people claiming to be “evangelicals,” if they support the pro-death position of the Obama campaign.
I’ve seen a bunch of posts today “predicting” that Obama will get the Evangelical vote, the conservative Catholic vote, etc. I suspect the article writers have been sent propaganda by Obama publicists which they are dutifully rewriting and publishing in an attempt to give the impression that it’s a done deal and that everybody who’s anybody supports their Messiah.
I think we’re going to see a lot of this in the future.
I expect the ghetto gang grubs will riot along with Michelle. She’ll probably be leading the pack.
I predict that Angelina Jolie and Catherine Zeta Jones are on their way to my house with some baby oil and a six pack of Michelob.
BS.
I won’t be part of the 40%, thank you.
That does seem to be missing from his mantra, doesn’t it? From his LIFE, for that matter.
Do we have a definition of *evangelical*, as used in the article? I have been told by non-Christians/secular progressives that churches I consider liberal like United Methodist and the more liberal Lutheran congregations are considered *evangelical*.
Obama will get the votes of the liberal Christian churches.
I wonder if one of their examples is a gay Bishop in the Episcopal Church.
“Evangelical” is a very loosely defined term. 1/3 of “evangelicals” as defined by various pollsters voted for Clinton in 1996. When parsed more closely, this turned out to be part of the more pedestrian fact that roughly 90% of blacks voted for Clinton (and whoever else the Democrats ran for office). African-Americans make up a disproportionately large fraction of those classified as “evangelical”. They also tend to belong to churches like Obama’s where abortion is practically a sacrament. Margaret Sanger’s legacy lingers on!

SO true!
So are these Evangelicals the ones that “cling to their guns and religion”?
