Thanks for tonites thread Ma and Star!
Good evening everyone..
How’s everybody doing?
Cool thread, galz! Loved that TV show! :D
He was an original character!
Thank you for honoring this great hero, Col. Boyington.
Thank you, Kathy.
Col. Gregory “Pappy” Boyington is one of my all time favorite war heroes. The other is Audie Murphy.
If you haven’t already done a post on Audie Murphy, please consider it. He was the most decorated soldier of WWII.
Thanks, again.

Man, oh man, has it been hot. I can't remember the last time we were this hot in early June. Keeping my fingers crossed that the prediction for cooler temps in a couple of days comes true.
I stayed in the house as much as possible this weekend. And we did have another thunderstorm Saturday night. Hope everyone north of us around Illinois and Michigan faired okay over the weekend. I hear they got a taste of the wicked weather.
I was reading the Farmer's Almanac for our zone and find that it looks like July weather is happening in June. If that's not the case, then we are in for one of the hottest, wettest summers in a long time.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have work to do, even thought I'd rather be doing something else.
Time for me to make my rounds. But, you stay right where you are. Don't touch that dial. Don't change that channel. Put down that remote. Don't leave the room. Keep your eyes on your monitor. Cause...............I'll be bock!
Now remember, the Canteen is
So, come on in and sit for a while. There's always plenty of coffee, pancakes, conversation, silliness, and plain old BS
