SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) Who's Tony Rezko? William Ayers? Few Americans know, but they probably will by Election Day.
Both men have ties to Sen. Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, and may well show up in even more anti-Obama ads than they already have.
These days, presidential candidates can expect to have every personal relationship, new or ancient, investigated, and if there's political hay to be made, a version of the details is quickly out. All candidates have their associations questioned, but it's especially true for Mr. Obama, still a newcomer to the national scene. Voters haven't had years to form impressions based on what he has said or the legislation he's supported.
Associations already have produced one crisis for Mr. Obama — the furor over the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., his spiritual mentor. Here are brief descriptions of some other people who may show up in ads, debate questions and Internet chatter over the coming months.
Antoin Rezko: "Tony" Rezko is a businessman who has helped raise campaign money for Mr. Obama and many other Illinois politicians. He was convicted Wednesday on 16 of 24 counts involving mail fraud, wire fraud, money laundering and aiding and abetting bribery.
The charges have no connection to Mr. Obama, but Rezko is tied to the Illinois senator in other ways.

They are doing a weak version of the sorry now, in order to soften the effects of the inevitable attack ads based on events in the story in September/October, the same way a doctor gives a weak version of a disease to a patient in the form of a vaccine, to immunize that patient from a later attack of the disease. The AP is carrying water for Obama...as usual. Only thing is, it's not gonna work.

That’s true, and now is the time to put a halt to it.
The George Soros octopus, the guiding genius behind the ascent of Barack Mohammed (since we are no longer to refer to his given middle name) Obama, Jr., the charismatic, messianic Magic Negro, was looking around for somebody even more “in your face” than even the Clinton Power Couple (whose rise may be indrectly traced to other manipualtions of the Soros empire). And in the Magic Negro, he found one. The apparent meteoric rise of o’Bambi was fueled by WAY more than just trading on his good looks and winning manner. This was an orchestrated effort to put the Muslim Candidate in place, within at least striking distance of the White House.
Now, with just a few well-placed propaganda moves to subtly discredit everybody’s grandpaw, the job will be done, with the apparent acquiescence of the American people.
“Popular” government, indeed.
Not popular with me, that’s for sure.

Barry Obama said after the press club show “that was not the Rev. Wright I knew” and last week “that was not the person (Rezko) I knew”. I’m waiting for him to claim it’s not the Michelle Obama he knew.

So sorry Hugin, There has been so much BS thrown around during this campaign season I sometimes do not realize that it is sarcasm. The sad thing is we have 5 more months to go.

When a candidate and his wife promise every college kid a free college education we had best vote. Never underestimate your enemy.
