Actually, they are. The birth control pill is not a preventative, but an abortifacient. It does not prevent fertilization, only implantation. The baby is already formed, but cannot reach its intended target of the mother’s uterus to begin the growing process. What happens next is that the tiny human being that is now formed is then aborted by the mother’s body. Women may see some spotting, which is commonly referred to as “breakthrough bleeding”, but what she is actually experiencing is similar to a miscarriage.

I have said many, may times that the left has ZERO to use against McCain in this general election that isn’t 30 years old. The guy is an open book and his positions are well known. This will serve our purposes well. The more they attack McCain on abortion the more they will remind people of the mengle like bastard that barack curious george mcgovern is AND it will confound the “youth vote.” They have listened to the rat and his minions of the ratmedia telling them there is no shame in an out of wedlock baby for so long that they now believe it. They are coming to ask “Why should we kill our babies? Babies are cool man. Kill’em is wrong man.” This is NOT me saying this. You should have (if you could have) made the argument that there is a difference between a contraceptive and an abortofacient, in terms of tactic: one is to prevent pregnancy, the other, to end it.
But I guess if you could have, you would have.
Where the two are in fact identical to "us people" is that both are mechanisms to prevent the natural consequence of sexual intercourse.
