WASHINGTON - An emboldened Barack Obama browbeat Sen. Joe Lieberman on the Senate floor after the self-proclaimed "Independent Democrat" slammed the candidate on behalf of Republican John McCain.

Flexing his new power as the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, Obama greeted Lieberman, a prominent McCain backer, on the Senate floor Wednesday - then promptly led him by the hand to a back corner to give him a talking-to.

Joe speaking at our convention would send the democrats off the deep end and it would be great payback for them getting Ron "Twinkle Toes" Reagan to speak at their last convention.

I would have loved to hear the report that Lieberman shoved him away, hard, and then stomped off. That would have spoke volume.

Then it would have been great for Lieberman to go on television and say that Obama was trying to intimidate him and threatening him, stuff like taking his committee chairmanship away if he spoke in favor of McCain.

Lieberman then could tell the nation that he will not be bullied by a bully and that Obama needs to control his anger.

Do you mean that my Senator actually goes to meet and greets? I have lived in CT for 18 years and I have never seen Lieberman.

Neither have I. He doesn't come across as someone that is articulate unless he is reading from a teleprompter.

True. I've always wondered about people characterizing him as a good speaker. I think it's really just relief that they hear a Dan Rather kind of voice instead of an Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson. And I haven't seen a single time that he hasn't come across as an insufferable prick.

What do kids know about politics or ‘Obamanomics’ ?

A teacher asked her 5th grade class how many of them were Obama fans.
Not really knowing what an Obama fan is, but wanting to be liked by the teacher, all the little ‘robot’ kids raised their hands except for Little Morgan.
The teacher asked Little Morgan why she has decided to be different.
Little Morgan says, ‘Because I’m not an Obama fan.’
The challenging teacher says, ‘Why aren’t you an Obama fan?’
Morgan says quietly, , , , , ‘Because I’m a conservative.’
The teacher asks her why she’s a conservative.

Barack Hussein Obama is an arrogant selfish brat who happens to be Black, and he uses his skin color to get away with his arrogance.

The Dems are using his skin color to get a Marxist into the White House. It's a very simple and perhaps effective strategy. The funny thing is John McCain might be just the man to beat him. The very thing most FReepers don't like about him might keep Obama out of the White House. From there it's all about damage control rather than a total disaster.
