Lest any of the armchair warriors on this thread think that the above post can be taken seriously, items 1-3 above are built with NAF (non-appropriated fund) monies and are not in fact on the military construction program schedule.

What can be taken seriously, however, is that it was a genuine Navy joke. :-)
It must be noted that the list was labeled "Construction Priority Schedule for USAF Bases". While our esteemed Air Force brother-in-arms clarifies the funding for such construction and that the construction is not on the military construction program schedule, no challenge was made as to the accuracy of the "Construction Priority". ;-)

Im new (today!) to this forum. This thread got to me more than any I have read over the 2 years that I have lurked here. I am former USAF and Army (Cold War Era) My son is a Crew Chief stationed at Deyss AFB in Texas, servicing the C-130's that are bringing the beans and bullets to the ground troops.I am unspeakably proud of his service to our Nation and will defend the honor of the USAF with my last breath. I , for one, want a live piolt looking in the cockpit of a United Airlines flight, with my daughter or wife on it before he decides to shoot it down.
