Why do people keep posting these lame threads, or rather, why would anybody still fall for them?
They contribute nothing to debate and are all pure speculation, lame attempts to build some sort of momentum or self fulfilling prophesies and are getting annoying.
I swear I've seen a million of these on various boards. People should quit trying to capitalize on fomenting mob mentality, and everyone else quit falling for it sheesh...

Oh, you'd be surprised at the sort of stuff that gets posted to FR. Brainless vanities with titles consisting of nonsense characters borrowed from IRC chatrooms and Valley Girl text paging - you'd never believe it, but people actually post those here too! Hypothetical questions, ridiculous premises, headlines without a subject or predicate, silly asseverations that are impossible to comment on because one would have to follow the author's train of thought, such as it is, why, we've seen them all on FR! Some days it's just one big, happy rubber room filled with spittle-throwing lunatics.
Present company excepted, of course.
