A forum featuring Democratic presidential candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton is expected to highlight the 34th annual National Conference of Black Mayors, which starts Wednesday in New Orleans.
Presumptive Republican nominee U.S. Sen. John McCain, of Arizona, also was invited to attend the Saturday forum, but a spokesman for his campaign said Tuesday that he would not be able to participate.

Black mayors have so much to show the rest of us.
Why do we have a SEPARATE group for black mayors?
What kind of common denominator for mayoral office is being black? Why not mayors over 6 foot, or balding or blue eyed?
Hmmm...wonder why Kwameeee wasn’t invited???
You DID know that this conference was scheduled for Detroit, right? And that the organizers called Mr. Hip-Hop to ask him if it was a go and he told them to go elsewhere because of his little ethics problem.
The Detroit mess is so much like the Obama/Clinton fiasco it’s gone beyond irony.
Here is the most fact filled video on Hussein Obama I have seen.

The mayors of most major cities are liberals anyway. Does it matter how they choose to group their associations?
I’m just surprised that anyone would go to CHAMPION the efforts of Ray Nagin at this point. Generalisimo Nagin, that is. Cue the photo of him in phony military regalia.
Perhaps Jon McCain can address the conference of White Mayors.
Oh yeah, there isn’t one..
A gathering of non-corrupt liberal mayors would be a very lonely conference.
To be fair and really celebrate diversity, there should also be a National Conf. of Biracial and Mixed-race Mayors
Jon McCain jumped the gun on this one. He was so anxious to kick off his campaign now that Obama has been crowned (even though it STILL has to go to the Convention and those superdelegates who are being PHYSICALLY REPLACED all the time).
McCain kicked off his “campaign” in New Orleans. Now he sits out the conference.
I guess Howard Dean’s team are still working on his campaign staff as they have since 2006.
Sure it does because they are working exclusively from a position of race and that is supposed to be a "no-no" but white people are stupid enough to just go along with it or shrug it off. Even thought they have political, policy and financial influence. Just like they do with racist groups such as LaRaza, MEChA etc. What will make these groups go away? Will they get stronger or weaker as we become more "multicultural"? You think they will just wake up one day and say "It's all good now we don't need this group"?
I presume there is no conference of White Mayors.
The group is a joke and their website is just as lame.
Our forefathers anticipated the “block” voting...and created the Electoral College...
“What kind of common denominator for mayoral office is being black?”
They’re all leftist Democrats.
Good question. McCain’s smart for staying away from this. Suppose all it will turn into is a bitch session about how little “revitalization” aide the feds provide the cities.
Where’s the White Mayors’ Conference this year?
