OBAMA: We cannot impose a military solution on what has effectively become a civil war. And until we acknowledge that reality, uh, we can send 15,000 more troops; 20,000 more troops; 30,000 more troops. Uh, I don't know any, uh, expert on the region or any military officer that I've spoken to, uh, privately that believes that that is gonna make a substantial difference on the situation on the ground.
Oh, but it MUST not be a worry to us since the "anti-McCain-at-all-costs" crowd has told us we NEED Obama to ruin this country so we can "get back at the GOP"...
Do you mean to tell me that Rush LIMBAUGH actually CHALLENGES our beloved "anti-McCain-at-all-costs" crowd? How DARE he! As if he were anyone of note or authority on the matter...

Russia, China flex muscles in joint war games
Reuters: Aug 17, 2007
CHEBARKUL, Russia (Reuters) - Russia and China staged their biggest joint exercises on Friday but denied this show of military prowess could lead to the formation of a counterweight to NATO.
"Today's exercises are another step towards strengthening the relations between our countries, a step towards strengthening international peace and security, and first and foremost, the security of our peoples," Putin said.
Fighter jets swooped overhead, commandos jumped from helicopters on to rooftops and the boom of artillery shells shook the firing range in Russia's Ural mountains as two of the largest armies in the world were put through their paces.
The exercises take place against a backdrop of mounting rivalry between the West, and Russia and China for influence over Central Asia, a strategic region that has huge oil, gas and mineral resources.
Russia's growing assertiveness is also causing jitters in the West. Putin announced at the firing range that Russia was resuming Soviet-era sorties by its strategic bomber aircraft near NATO airspace.

New Pentagon Report: China's Growing Military Space Power
By Leonard David
Special Correspondent, SPACE.com
March 6, 2008
GOLDEN, Colorado A just-released Pentagon report spotlights a growing U.S. military concern that China is developing a multi- dimensional program to limit or prevent the use of space-based assets by its potential adversaries during times of crisis or conflict.
Furthermore, last year's successful test by China of a direct-ascent, anti-satellite (ASAT) weapon to destroy its own defunct weather satellite, the report adds, underscores that country's expansion from the land, air, and sea dimensions of the traditional battlefield into the space and cyber-space domains.
Although China's commercial space program has utility for non- military research, that capability demonstrates space launch and control know-how that have direct military application. Even the Chang'e 1 the Chinese lunar probe now circling the Moon is flagged in the report as showcasing China's ability "to conduct complicated space maneuvers a capability which has broad implications for military counterspace operations."

Obama Pledges Cuts in Missile Defense, Space, and Nuclear Weapons Programs
February 29, 2008 :: News
MissileThreat.com
A video has surfaced of Presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama talking on his plans for strategic issues such as nuclear weapons and missile defense.
The full text from the video, as released, reads as follows:
Thanks so much for the Caucus4Priorities, for the great work you've been doing. As president, I will end misguided defense policies and stand with Caucus4Priorities in fighting special interests in Washington.
First, I'll stop spending $9 billion a month in Iraq. I'm the only major candidate who opposed this war from the beginning. And as president I will end it.[i.e. not win it]
Second, I will cut tens of billions of dollars in wasteful spending.
I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems.
I will not weaponize space.
I will slow our development of future combat systems.
And I will institute an independent "Defense Priorities Board" to ensure that the Quadrennial Defense Review is not used to justify unnecessary spending.
Third, I will set a goal of a world without nuclear weapons. To seek that goal, I will not develop new nuclear weapons; I will seek a global ban on the production of fissile material; and I will negotiate with Russia to take our ICBMs off hair-trigger alert, and to achieve deep cuts in our nuclear arsenals.
You know where I stand. I've fought for open, ethical and accountable government my entire public life. I don't switch positions or make promises that can't be kept. I don't posture on defense policy and I don't take money from federal lobbyists for powerful defense contractors. As president, my sole priority for defense spending will be protecting the American people. Thanks so much.

Obama Promises to Dismantle Our Armed Forces
by Robert Maginnis

(Mr. Maginnis is a retired Army lieutenant colonel, a national security and foreign affairs analyst for radio and television and a senior strategist with the U.S. Army)
YouTube has an undated 52-second clip of Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barrack Obama outlining his plans for Americas national defense. Obamas presentation demonstrates either total naivete about important national security programs or he is just pandering for votes among the extreme left.

I used to think the best thing to do is ignore them, but I think I am going to just keep coming at them because the more you drill down on their theories, you expose their complete ignorance.
I know of whom you speak and I think we need to start a list and if Obama wins, these folks should not be allowed to post one negative thing about the new administration.
It blows my mind they are advocating giving liberals, not Democrats, but liberals the reigns and they try to pass themselves off as “conservatives”.

"Revolt With A Vote"?
Looks like Communist Party USA thinks Obama is someone who can deliver a *bloodless* revolution.

"We are a party of unity in action. We are an integral part of every struggle and movement for change to eliminate poverty and joblessness, against racism and for full equality. We are participants, initiators and leaders of every movement to make life better now and much better in a socialist future." Yeah, so they supported an oppressive dictator, like the Repubs and Democrats haven't? The CP is still around, has apologized for that whole Stalin thing, and has a quickly growing youth section.

Amen to that. I think it is time to call these folks out, because we have been giving them a free ride as of late. I had a back in forth with one on another thread and the more and more he replied, the dumber and dumber I felt for actually reading his replies.
Wow.An enemies list, of those who don't share the same right you do to express an unpopular opinion?...of freepers? Thats your proposal?
Uh, good one!
I say stand up and take accountability, because these crack-heads advocating this BS now will be the same ones denouncing Obama in January of 09. Guarantee.
Listen to the pundits...its a first in American polictics...a blackman is the Democratic candidate for President...wonderful qualifications, he’s black, therefore he is qualified to be President. A first in American politics...what if if he had two black heads, he would be twice as qualified...and if he had a white head and a black head...what a marvel, a real first in American polictics. What if he had a tatoo of a white toilet on his chest with Hillery being flushed down the toilet, he would be a champion for President...why do I see a cockroach winning the Democratic nomination...how did we get this far down the sewer...
Heck no! I propose we discredit them first and then ridicule and humiliate them. You know...the same thing we always do
I'm just not so sure about the "list" thing.
Let me clarify, if there are people that are not happy with McCain, that is fine, I doubt that there are many conservatives that were thrilled with his nomination. But, when you have individuals that are proselytizing a plan to put someone in office in order to set a greater plan (that was contrived at the service end of a crack pipe in my opinion) in motion, I think that needs challenged. We are not talking about voting for the corkmaster of the wine tasting club, we are talking about the president of the free world. That should not be taken lightly.
Trying to silence the political speech of an adversary is a natural trait of someone who is attracted to McCain as a candidate.
Obama may very well preside over the next U.S. Civil war... Shame really how the liberals stirred up all this vitriol and hate.
