Obama’s Ex-Church Has Won $15M in Federal Grant Money by FOXNews.com Monday, June 2, 2008

By Jeff Goldblatt

Across America seven days a week, parents drop their kids at day care centers, which are supported by funding from the federal government.

But what makes one facility noteworthy in inner city Chicago is that it’s run by Trinity United Church of Christ. It’s the same church whose former head pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, drew widespread scrutiny after he cursed the U.S. government for its treatment of African-Americans.

FOX News has learned that over the last 15 years, Trinity has received at least $15 million in grants from the federal government — in other words, taxpayer money.

Records show this money supported a variety of outreach: everything from low income housing to nutritional programs for needy kids to money for HIV/AIDS education. Wright blames the government for intentionally infecting the African-American community with that deadly virus.

Trinity and its fellow liberals are the like the spoiled brats who disrespect their parents, all the while holding their hands out.

Mmmm... I wonder how much of that $$ was 'allocated' to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright mansion? Dem chickens need a good fine coop when they come home to roost ay Rev?

$15 million over 15 years is probably small stuff. That’s the awful thing about it...

Typical liberal....beetch, moan, complain and rant against social injustices all the while enjoying the riches and benefits of a God blessed nation. The only USA leftists I admire are the ones who ‘flee USA oppression’ and move to Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, North Korea and Somalia. Loud mouthed leftist liars and hypocrites are a pox on this nation!

Biting the hand that feeds them. Arrogant beggars and by that I mean that church’s racist congregation. They whooped and hollered at Wright’s rants and same for that wacked out priest Pfleger

Arrogant beggars same as the Palestinians of Gaza who demand and demand and demand from the Jews and do indeed get their electricity from Israel and most water too

Well, if all our intstitutions are teaching kids to hate America, then what’s the point of conservatism? You would have to kick the leftists out and start over.

From the article:

“FOX News has learned that over the last 15 years, Trinity has received at least $15 million in grants from the federal government — in other words, taxpayer money.”

(end snip)

15 years.....15-8=7

Then they had to bring this in:

(snip)

“Nationwide, African-American churches have used this kind of funding to pump investment into inner-city neighborhoods as a means of growing support — religious scholars say largely so under the Bush administration, when faith based grants increased significantly.”

(end snip)

I knew the MSM would have to throw ‘faith based’ programs into the mix in this article somewhere...and there it is!! LOL

‘Bush’s Fault’ (that Obama’s church is racist)

Another gymnastic leap by the MSM, when in the very same article, the writer says they don’t know how much money they got, when, or how they spent it!!

Yet, they can say, without any proof at all, that most of the largesse has been gained during the Bush Administration’s ‘Faith Based Initiatives’.

Big MSM leap over the ‘balance beam’ ...AS USUAL!!

(eye roll)

Trinity Church and Rev. Wright have forgotten the lesson of the ancient Israelites when Moses led them out of the wilderness. Instead of being grateful and thanking God for His blessings they focused on complaining, moaning and victimization. God set them free but they chose to remain negative and ungrateful and so they wandered in the wilderness 40 years longer than necessary.

No wonder they could do all those great outreach programs. They were using our money! Typical liberals like the Obamas are the ones who feel entitled to tax money from the paychecks of those who make a tenth of what they make every year.
Because they were being subsidized by us, Trinity Church could give Wright a $1,500,000 home in a gated white enclave for his retirement. That’s why they call it “the golden years.”
