By Wednesday morning, Hillary and Obama will up neck and neck in popular vote, give or take 100,000 votes between them.
That means the pressure will be on for him to make her his running-mate.
But she may not be interested. In fact, she will likely turn down recruiting efforts.
If you take the Clintons at their word Obama is doomed to failure so why would she want to go down in flames with him this fall against McCain?
Its not like she hasnt made this perfectly clear. Her feelings about Obamas inadequacies have been articulated and broadcasted for months.
She has said he is an untried rookie who shouldnt get the nod and cant beat McCain. Her character assassination has been subtle but effective: The reference to Bobby Kennedy. Her doubts about his beliefs, (hes Christian or so they tell me). Her attacks on his manhood. Her husbands description of Obamas entire campaign as a fairy tale.
All these statements and others will be generously splashed across Republican ads this fall to the point that some voters, who only wake up to their democracy during elections, may actually think she is McCains running-mate.
Joining the Obama teams means she will have shot herself in the foot beforehand.
So what emerges is what I believe is the Clinton no-lose strategy.
They have used Obamas unelectability as their excuse to continue running against him even though they cannot win because, by saying hes unelectable, they help in part to bring about his defeat.
His defeat by McCain would make them look really smart and also set them up for the nomination and run in 2012. This is based on their professed logic that only Hillary can win against McCain; McCain will be a one-termer because he will be decrepit in four years and there will be a job vacancy in 2012 for the White House. The tricky part for Hillary will be to appear to be a team player if she declines the VP slot or isnt even asked. Obama will offer both of them something in return for a few stump speeches made in between long absences from the campaign due to exhaustion.
This is the week
Thats why this week will be great fun to watch because the delegate arithmetic simply doesnt work after Tuesday. And the real Hillary will be revealed in one of two scenarios:
If she becomes Obamas running mate, which makes party sense now because she has damaged him among some Democrats, it will be because she never believed a word she said about his unelectability in the first place. She and Bill will also make his life, and presidency should he win, miserable, according to former advisors like Dick Morris.
If she rejects offers to become the running-mate or play a major administration role, then she believes Obama has no chance, she is not a team player and is willing to have Americans endure one term of McCain so she can take up White House residency in 2012.
Take your pick.
And if a VP Clinton, did choose to make Obama's term miserable, he could jettison her and choose a new running mate, citing her mental illness. Clinton would then be forced to scramble to put together a team to run against Obama for the 2012 nomination. I don't see her winning this one either. Then she has nothing to show for all her trials and errors. And, how does she make up the money loss she has incurred if she is a VP?
The Clintons already trashed the Democrat party. That’s why the party is in such a mess today. We now watch as Miss Hitlery trashes onward.

As I’ve said before, I have less concern about HRC being in the WH than her being appointed to SCOTUS. She would treat either as a base for ‘Executive Orders’ ad infinitum.
“If the whip ever winds up in Hillary’s hand, watch out Bill and watch out America...”
It is so strange that I have “forgotten” this about Hillary, since Obama seems so wrong for our country that he makes her look preferable.
Who is the rock-jawed broad on Hill’s left? Could be Bill Cowher’s sister.
Dunno. I just checked the original source of this photo, and the woman on Hil’s left isn’t identified.
LOL.
Hil’s right side?
Her demand? SCOTUS!
yep, my left, her right. ;^)
The two of them would make a weaker ticket, because her negatives are different people than his negatives.
More negatives is good for us.
Her attacks have been SUBTLE ?!?
I would hate to see what this guy terms an ASSERTIVE or AGRESSIVE attack !
Congratulations. You have been 'triangulated'. It is amazing what a few dollars and a marketing campaign can do.

That’s obviously the plan. But she already looks like a dyke bag lady, so running as a Golda Meir look alike in 2012 won’t give her any advantage.
