Some stand in protest during President Bush's commencement speech at Furman University.

Obviously the MSM has done a good job of blurring the memory of that day for SOME of them.
IMHO - Those supporting or judging "W" would do well to reflect DEEPLY on how the world, this nation, and they themselves "felt", "feared" "expected" events to unfold from 9/11 on, and compare it to today's reality.
Thank You, President George W. Bush, for your guts and your focus!
I don’t think there was but one standing that was under the age of 55.
You’re right!!!!
Only two were under the age of 60. One looked like a daughter and the lady at the end looked like a bought bride.
As much as I despised WJC, I would never have shown disrespect in this manner. I was taught better than that. Sadly, just about everywhere I go, I see evidence that we aren’t a respectful nation any longer.
Exactly. Using a momentous day for those graduates to grandstand. Selfish louts.
And at my parent’s alma matter.
You can always let ‘em know what you think (if you want to risk them having your email address): contact@weobject.info
Hmmm..."Rush Babies" respected the President too??? - good
They look like faculty. They are seated with other robed older adults. And they are being ignored. If they had guts, they would be standing in the front row.
Those pigs who so selfishly tarnished the graduates commencement for eternity have to be some of the best examples of what we could expect in a democrat communist nation. Do not let these bastards get back in power fully, remember the dark times before Reagan.
I remember looking up whenever a plane flew over to make sure it wasn’t a “crop duster”. Your right, the MSM has done a great job.
i saw a book in the bookstore yesterday whose author
wants to charge president bush with murder.
where was this moron when saddam hussein killed 900,000+
people?
I heard he got a standing ovation and that almost all of those attending applauded him.
Well, they look like the liberal faculty and at least they had the courtesy to behave themselves.
NOW FOR WHAT REALLY HAPPENED AT THE CEREMONY:
BUSH AT FURMAN: AMERICANS HAVE ‘OBLIGATION TO HELP’
By Dan Hoover
Controversy over Furman Universitys commencement invitation to President Bush dissolved into an outpouring of civility and warmth Saturday night at Paladin Stadium.
. . . With the exception of a silent protest by a scattering of graduates and faculty, Bush was a hit with the crowd.
When the flashing blue lights of the lead vehicles in Bushs motorcade came into view at 7:10 p.m., most of the more than 9,000 guests erupted into foot-stomping, cheers and applause.
Bushs entrance to the stadium at 7:37 p.m. brought a roar from most of the crowd that filled all but a few of the home side seats. Students joined in, many climbing onto their beige folding chairs, women kicking off their pumps, for a better view or to take pictures.
You will find a videoclip at the following link that captures the ENTHUSIASTIC RECEPTION the President received from the audience (minus the 14 Marxists of course):

MY FAVORITE EXCERPT FROM THE PRESIDENT’S SPEECH:
“Finally, a culture of responsibility means being accountable to your families and to yourself. I found family to be a source of great comfort and strength. When people talk about my family, they often say I inherited my dad’s eyes and my mother’s mouth. (Laughter.) But I got far more from them than that. From my dad, I learned that a gentle soul can also be strong. From my mother, I saw the blessings of humor and honesty and unqualified love. And from the two of them, I got an inspiring example of how a strong marriage can carry you through any challenge. And what has carried me through the challenges in my life has been the love and support of a wonderful woman named Laura Bush. (Applause.)”

Agreed. No matter what anybody thinks about him, the graduating class got the President to speak at their commencement. Only a few schools get that in a year. I guess some people never learned the difference between a ceremony and a public forum.
“bought bride”
Can you explain what you mean by that?
I guess that means... cash changed hands
