You can read the Tribune's Saturday editorial regarding the news surrounding Rev. Michael Pfleger here.
When Barack Obama announced his campaign for president, you could anticipate that ugly racial stereotypes would rear up. You probably couldnt anticipate that some of his strongest supporters would promote the worst of it.
Thats what the nation saw as video surfaced of a sermon Rev. Michael Pfleger gave last Sunday from the pulpit of Obamas church in Chicago.
Pfleger talks of exposing white entitlement and supremacy wherever it raises its head, and then theatrically mocks Sen. Hillary Clinton.
He stalks around the stage of Trinity United Church of Christ. He thunders: When Hillary was crying, and people said that was put on, I really dont believe it was put on. I really believe that she just always thought, this is mine! Im Bills wife, Im white and this is mine! I just gotta get up and step into the plate and then out of nowhere came, Hey, Im Barack Obama, and she said, Oh, damn. Where did you come from? Im white! Im entitled! Theres a black man stealing my show!
Then he theatrically feigns tears and says, She wasnt the only one crying. There were a whole lot of white people crying.

STATEMENT OF FRANCIS CARDINAL GEORGE, O.M.I.,
ARCHBISHOP OF CHICAGO
Friday, May 30, 2008
Statement of Cardinal Francis George concerning remarks of
Fr. Michael Pfleger about Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton during
an address at Trinity United Church of Christ on Sunday May 25, 2008
The Catholic Church does not endorse political candidates. Consequently, while a priest must speak to political issues that are also moral, he may not endorse candidates nor engage in partisan campaigning.
Racial issues are both political and moral and are also highly charged. Words can be differently interpreted, but Fr. Pflegers remarks about Senator Clinton are both partisan and amount to a personal attack. I regret that deeply.
To avoid months of turmoil in the church, Fr. Pfleger has promised me that he will not enter into campaigning, will not publicly mention any candidate by name and will abide by the discipline common to all Catholic priests.

Thank you. Alot of reports I heard stated that he was Wright’s replacent, so I was curious.
I’m white. I suppose that makes me entitled to working 9 hours a day, 5 days a week at a job that hussein obama, phleger and wright would quit on monday before lunch because it actually requires work.
In other words, the Church is going to do nothing about Pfleger.
Bah! Phooey!
The "United" Church of Christ national leadership as well. They just honored Jeremiah Wright in the last month or two. These cesspools of hatred they call "churches" are nothing more than money pits to feed the greed of these racist "reverends."
“If I or any other typical white person walked into any black neighborhood, let alone a church, and started talking in Black-preacher style cadences and vernacular we’d get beaten half to death.”
LOL!
When I first heard the sermon on the radio I thought this priest must be black.
I was shocked to see a white man on the television later - a white man that was trying to sound just like reverend Wright.
So how does that work?
A white guy can get a positive response like that when he tries to sound black?
How does he get a rousing ovation instead of having rotten food thrown at him?
As a typical white person I am truly perplexed by the complexities here.
If this is what Obama claims to be "Christianity" then it also makes his claim of being a "Christian" pretty hard to defend as well, although those of us with the ability to shift through the evidence know Obama isn't any kind of Christian, nor American for that matter.
Shame on media for promoting this America hating little turd for POTUS. It just goes to show MSM is controlled by America's enemies as well.
Well, I just want everyone to know that this Pfleger is an aberration and Cardinal George needs to remove this priest.
Because Obama's "church" is full of racist white hating black Muzzies.
.. I would walk out and never return
Me too! I can’t understand how people can sit there & listen to that garbage.
So this is how to avoid having to pay taxes for your business. Simply dress up as a preist, scream racial hatred that denigrates whites, and not only become tax free, get $225,000 in earmarks:

Yep. Start bombarding Cardinal Georges office with letters everyone. This UN- Christian bigot cannot be allowed to continue.
“The only difference in Pfleger & Wright is their race.”
Pfleger does a pretty good Wright imitation. The man ought to be embarrassed. He lacks the integrity to be himself.
I really must have missed something in the history of this campaign. I always thought B. Hussein Obama was a person of mixed race. I also thought he was deserted by his father and raise by the other part of his mix. That suggests he is a bit of a self loather, too.
The thing of it is is what he is 100% of is socialist.
I spent four years in a seminary many a long year ago. In my day, some lads were told this may not be their best option. I guess Pfleger's seminary was already at the bottom of the barrel when he showed up, so they cleared a path for him rather than show him the gate.
“Yep. Start bombarding Cardinal Georges office with letters everyone. This UN- Christian bigot cannot be allowed to continue.”
I just did.
And you can too.

Our forefathers are turning in their graves; rightfully so! IMO, listening to the hoots of approval from this congregation, one would have to conclude Osama Obama’s vision of change is one of hatred and riots. Liberal’s vision for America is becoming all too apparent and it ain’t pretty nor does it bode well for your children and grandchildren’s futures. Americans better wake up!
Not content with the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama has other ministers at Trinity United Church who deliver racist rants as sermons to a cheering congregation.
I will let others take issue with Father Michael Pfleger. At this point it matters little who the cast of characters are who spout racist, anti-Semitic hatred of America and its people. What is most disturbing is the audience reaction. I say audience because the people listening to these sermons are in no way a church congregation; they are an audience listening to a speaker they heartily agree with. They cry out, their stand up , they cheer and applaud. We have not had such enthusiasm since the Nuremburg rallies of the 1930s to similar rants by other madmen.
