Could be...we do eat some yummy meals here. Must be Nana’s Italian upbringing. She loves to cook.

We’re going up Connie’s way next weekend to visit Nana’s brother. He’s coming in for a week. Nana is taking her infamous burritos...let’s see, how did he describe them?...”some of those burritos she used to make with white sauce”.

The beef is simmering in the crock pots as we speak. Nana will probably make up the burritos tonight and freeze them. The flavors should meld nicely, and her brother will be one happy man come Saturday evening!

But there isnt much the mexican palate hasnt touched.

We think of mexican as burritos and tacos and such, thats like thinking French is all baguettes and cheese

The burritos themselves are standard fare, beef and beans and salsa on the inside. It’s the sauce that’s different.

Most cooks, if they put a sauce over a burro, use red or green enchilada sauce and cheese.

These use a sour cream base, with a mild white cheese like mozzarella or monterey jack, to make a sauce for the burros.
