CBS News anchor Katie Couric interviewed former White House press secretary Scott McClellan about his explosive new book - and the criticism it is stirring. What follows is a partial transcript of the interview.
Couric: Do you support John McCain?
McClellan: I haven't made a decision yet. I have a lot of respect and admiration for Sen. McCain. He is certainly someone who has governed from the center, and that's where I come from; I am pretty much a centrist who believes in working together to solve problems and get things done and putting the country ahead of partisan politics. I also am intrigued by Sen. Obama's message (smiles). It's a message that is very similar to the one Gov. Bush ran on in 2000, and won on, promising to bring bi-partisanship and honesty and integrity to Washington.
Couric: So you could see yourself actually voting for Barack Obama?
McClellan: I just said I haven't made a decision, but I do think, you know, McCain talked about ending the permanent campaign recently, Sen. Obama talks about changing the way Washington works. They better have a specific plan for doing that if they're gonna actually be the president of the United States, because it is difficult to do.

Reacting to the headline alone, it appears as though McClellan wants a job as a talking-head on TV. (And may be disappointed that no one has offered him one).
Equally likely that David Brock is getting ready to have Scott McClellan.
Yes Scott, from between the two butt cheeks. That IS where you come from.
Is this creep married? I read today that he was seen in gay bars in Austin years ago?
Trust is the coin of the realm, and Scotty has proven he can't be trusted.
Another Pubbie POTUS to boot.

Maybe this is why he was such a lousy press secretary.
McClellan needs a good backhanding for being a snitchy b*tch.
Ass-ume the position Scott.
Who is considered ‘centrist’ for you?
Fred Thompson.
Brit Hume said he was a weak secretary, not in the loop. I say he’s probably jealous of others who were and this is payback time.
You see, that political designation does not correspond to having moderate views between the left and the right, and being open to persuasion or having an open mind toward issues - it refers to having a collection of right-wing and left-wing views which do not fit neatly enough into either broad category. A Marxist against gay marriage and abortion? Centrist! And a pro-abortion, pro-gay-marriage, pro gun-control, gorebull-whoring environut who wants universal health-care is a centrist because he wants to nuke Iran! See how it works? Thank the Lord we have other people to do our thinking for us.
exactly what i posted last night . gay bars and all .
someone last night posted a site that discussed that topic back in 2005 and 2006.
Someone mentioned his father wrote a book stating that lBJ killed Kennedy? That could go a long way in giving a guy the idea to write a sensational book.
Man, I was just joking. But that’s an interesting pattern.
I vaguely remember hearing about that book. Yes, that could have been a real influence on him. Didn’t know that. Thanks.
