There were Marines in the European Theater during WWII. As stated by Tony they served on ships as gunners and sharpshooters to take out enemy mines. They also guarded Naval Bases in Ireland. Small numbers of Marines were attached to the OSS and parachuted behind enemy lines to train the French Resistance fighters and saboteurs to harass the German war machine. They were not involved in liberating concentration camps.

Yes, I have never seen any evidence at all that Obama cared a bit about the “white” side of his family until they became useful campaign props to bolster his new-found “patriotism” schtick. Until the current campaign he was embarrassed by everything “white” and spent his entire adult life trying to identify more with the Kenyan side up his ancestry (and a father he never knew) plus the far-left agitprop racialists of Rev. I’ve checked the records of http://www.kshs.org/genealogis.....p;branch=N and they only list him as being in the Navy.
I would like to get a second source to confirm that Obama is still lying on this subject as my grandfathers, father and uncles all served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam and I don’t particularly care for politicians lying about the service of family members to further thier political agendas.
