PART ONE: ALL VOTERS, GENDER, AND RACE
Ever since the media declared that Barack Obama was inevitable after February 19th, based on a two week period when the an unprepared Hillary Clinton campaign suffered 10 straight losses, rank and file Democratic voters have been sending a message. Rather than rally round the inevitable nominee that message has been a consistent, loud, and clear message to the Democratic Party DO NOT WANT.
In nearly every demographic category since February 19, Clinton percentage of the vote has risen, while Obamas has fallen. This includes Obamas supposed strong demographic categories such as voters with college degrees post-graduate degrees and voters whose income is above the national median. And Clinton beat Obama in the primaries in March, April and May in most of the major categories.
In the aftermath of Super Tuesday, John McCain was anointed by the media as the inevitable nominee and with good reason. McCain had accumulated 740 of the necessary 1129 pledged delegates necessary to clinch the GOP nomination, and all he had to do was win 40% of the remaining delegates against two non-mainstream Republican challengers (Huckabee and Paul). Rank and file Republicans accepted McCain as their nominee, and McCain won every contest held subsequent to Super Tuesday with the exception of the Louisiana primary held on February 9th..and that contest he lost by only 1% (43% to 42%).
McCain may not have been the choice of the majority of Republicans, but once he was declared the inevitable nominee, rank and file Republicans closed ranks behind McCain. Despite doing virtually no campaigning at all, McCain has been able to garner at least 50% of the vote in every other primary contest held subsequent to Super Tuesday...

>>>So the conservatives are the crackpot fringe of the republican party? Really. Why are you on FR?
Incorrect or dishonest quote. The correct quote is:
“the crackpot fringe OF the conservative wing”
Why am I here? Because as vocal as that fringe is here and as much as they seem to miss the good old days of the Know Nothing Party, I don’t think it represents the thinking of anything close to a majority. If and when that changes and this becomes something like a Ron Paul site, I’ll reconsider.
“But at least get your facts straight. Next to nobody voted for Buchanan in 2000. Gore was hurt far more by Ralph Nader”
The margin was 537 votes out of several million. “Next to nobody” was almost enough. Those who voted for Pat against “RINO George” came too close. How close will 2008 be?
This will be another mouth full of ashes for the rat at the presidential level. This have once again fooled themselves about who they really are and what they really stand for.
We are the Three Musketeers.
The only three on FR perhaps, who still think HRC will be
the nominee?
We will have every right to gloat if we turn out to be right.
The problem with crushing the Obama campaign , though, is that it will have to be done through surrogates, indirectly, and cause remaining SupDelegates to embarrasedly switch back to Hillary. There are half-dozen things on Obama that, like time release capsules, be leaked out over the next weeks, and add nails to his coffin. This is going to be interesting........
Well, I hope you will enjoy four or eight years of Obama then.
And your threatening people and trying to shut up people from pointing out the obvious ? I am not threatening anyone you are .
My guess is that by the Nov elections the conservatives will still come home. They may be holding their collective noses, but they'll rally 'round the nominee. Especially if he picks a palatable veep. But nonetheless, once Obama's true views are known widely and the impact of an Obama or even Clinton Presidency looms, the Republicans will still come home. I'm already prepping myself for this inevitability in my own life. Those who don't were leaning Libertarian or Constitution Party from the start, anyway.
But their alternative is to vote for Hillary! Clinton, a harridan who is yet a nearer reminder of the unlamented Bill.
Not that I'd ever want to be one in any case, but I'd really hate to be a Democrat right now, and have to choose between that sorry lot.
As they irrelvantly roar like once mighty Mastodons:
Sorry, I don’t but into that threat either.
Not a threat, just a statement.
