HOUSTON -- Federal officials are working to find out just what happened in the sky over Houston this morning. Continental Flight 1544 was 11 miles east of Bush Intercontinental Airport after takeoff this morning, when the pilot called the tower to report an object near the plane.
The plane was at about 5,000 feet at the time of the report and the flight continued on to Cleveland. Sources told 11 News that the flight was met by Continental officials and FAA investigators to interview the passengers and crew.

Yeah, the flight pattern is about a mile or so north of me , kingwood would be more like it and yes I live in Huffman.
What a great viral marketing campaign that would be..getting people to report UFOs leading up to a movie release.
I’m in kingwood. Too bad I spend the day in Clear Lake. I missed the action.
google cash, huffman, ufo, One hell of an incident.
I am due east of the kingwood water tower, just on the other side of the lake. I wasn’t home either, we were in Dayton at the antique auction.
Imagine this is Bearpit
Depending on how many passengers viewed this “object”,it may be tough to shut them all up
Dad: "Hey, what were you kids doing in the backyard?"
Kids and friends, looking guilty: "Oh, nothin' much." (That's what I always told them.)
Dad: "Hey, there's a black SUV with gummint plates pulling into the driveway."
I think I know the answer to your problem. As soon as I get my time machine's flux capacitor up and running, we'll meet here last Thursday and discuss it.
Where is Quix?
I then spent 35 years as an enroute ATC, had many such reports over the years, and they always were vastly farther away than reported.
Now, I have a UFO story that'll raise the hair on your neck........
Pinging the list.
Perhaps the object was a flight attendant less than 70 years old.
Cellphones + Youtube, it's a good thing.
I have it on good authority that it was IronMan
did you see the new Indiy Jones? a bit of a UFO link there.. well MORE than a bit
hope your holiday has been good Dave. We did graves at Brooklyhn Hts & Sunset Memorial & missed rain all the way around
Hi to Anne & kisses for kitties
Some years ago my boss took the company Cessna 337 to Gulfport, where he shot an ILS approach and landing. Not sure if he noticed any kind of radio problems, not to mention a “thump”, but when he got back there was just a bloody stump above the windshield where one of the fiberglass VHF antennas used to be. We figured Jonathan L Seagull had lost a close relative.
If I recall correctly... the F-117A's first flight was in 1981 but that was classified, wasn't it?
Re from1980 Cash-Landrum incident: On August 21, 1986, a U.S. District Court judge dismissed their case, noting that the plaintiffs had not proved that the helicopters were associated with the U.S. Government, and that military officials had testified that the United States Armed Forces did not have a large, diamond shaped aircraft in their possession.
