Rolling Thunder welcomed in U.S. capital

Thousands of motorcyclists cruised Washington roads Sunday for the 21st annual Rolling Thunder event to honor lost soldiers and their families.

About 350,000 bikers gathered in the nation's capital to participate in the rally, which has attracted prestigious guests, including President George Bush, in the past, The Washington Times reported.

"First thing, this is about supporting America and our folks in the military, past and present. It's about love of country, love of bikes. People have a calling to be here," said Pete Ries, who has been to the event at least six times.

Money raised through raffles and other events is donated to needy veterans and their families.

"We donate our time, no one gets any compensation and 100 percent of the money we raise goes to help vets or their families," said Artie Muller, Army veteran and Rolling Thunder founder.

350,000 riders. Or 5-6 times as many people as showed up for Obama’s “phenom” rally.

They get overlooked in press coverage every year.

Obama’s rally was so large because the MSM purposely deceived the American people. A very popular rocker band gave a FREE concert and that was why there were so many at the rally. They were there for the FREE concert and Osama Hussein Obama just happened to be there too. Nothing like deception to promote false image.

Because to the leftists and that includes the MSM, this isn't a "Progressive Thinking Politically Correct" event because it is FOR THE TROOPS -- Active, Resevrve Components, Veterans, and Deceased.

My husband and I were driving back from north Alabama last Tuesday. All of a sudden there seemed like hundreds of motorcycles in the eastbound lane, it went on forever. I noticed some of the riders had rolled up American flags. Obviously, they were part of the Rolling Thunder group heading to Washington. God bless them all and prayers for their safe return home!

Well-spoken words from John Amos!
Also, President Bush may have assumed that Rolling Thunder and PGR are one and the same...?
Anyway, thanks for those links.

Al Qaeda is rooting for the Muslim Manchurian Candidate; none other than Hussein Obama the nominee of proud treasonous American Liberals.
