[Snip]...Look, we all know where this campaign is going and it's not good. It hasn't been good for a long, long time and it gets worse by the day. But with a little creativity among the surviving candidates we can still snatch victory from the jaws of wingnuts and moonbats.

It’s hard to come up with a worse suggestion than that.

I’d be in constant fear for my life if Clinton were my VP.

McCain/Clinton and if we refuse to support that, we will be attacked on this very forum by self professed “conservatives.”

I wonder what Michael Medved would say since he argues there is a difference between rep and dems -

He’d be one of them. He’d be on the radio screaching how we must support McBoob and Hitlery, and if we don’t then we must hate America, Mom AND apple pie!

I’ve been having nightmares of McCain/Clinton for 2 months now. It makes so much sense for an embittered Hillary. I can see the bumper stickers and speeches now “A new Republican party”. Or how about, “I didn’t leave the Democratic party, they left me”. Heck, both of them could say that.

I am for McCain/McCain. His mother is the REAL straight talk express. He gets a woman on the ticket, they are almost the same age which neutralizes the age thingy somewhat, but if McCain has one of his temper fits, she will box sonny boy’s ears real quick.

In addition, Michelle as running mate running about the country giving speeches would make anything Obama said look brilliant and sensible by comparison. Plus, just think of the Hillary vs. Michelle VP debates. Catfight for the ages!

OK, a fun read and only slightly more likely than the next most ridiculous thing you can imagine. In the interest of the one constitutional trivia problem in this humor piece;

And why shouldn't a man and wife be President and Veep? No law against it and it probably has some distinct advantages.

According to the 12th Amendment (Article II, Section 1, third paragraph (right at the beginning) the Electors from Illinois could only cast their votes for one of them.

The Electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves;...

So who would they vote for in Illinois...

I can hear that yuck Medved screaming at his callers and demanding open borders and votes for McCain. Not much would change. But Rush would sure love it. He could continue to hype Hillary.

Nope, you will be hailed for your good sense.

However, how about even 1 time you surprise us and actually attack the Democrats on ANYTHING? 100% of your posting on Free Republic consists of nothing but trash talking the Right and Freepers. If you are NOT a Democrat, why do you spend all you time acting as Democrat PR agent?

Hey, you so-called "conservatives" can whine and stay home due to your "principles", but I'm a realist and am not about to waste my vote. Look, I supported Fred in the primaries, but it's time to rally around the Republican ticket. If that ticket is McCain/Clinton, then so be it. That is what primary voters decided upon, and now is too critical a time to be throwing temper tantrums and calling for so-called conservatives to stay home or throw their votes away on a third party.

You may say that you won't vote for the lesser of two evils, but you need to think hard before you make that choice. Sure, McCain is a backstabber who isn't conservative in the least, but we might have some influence over him after he gets elected. Hillary also may not be exactly the conservatives' first choice for VP, but she really isn't worse than Crist and we've already seen her at her worst. Better the "devil you know", I say.

Would you rather Obama win the election? Staying home or voting third party is a vote for Obama. ARE YOU AN OBAMA SUPPORTER?

< /mccainiac>

Grunthor, how did I do? I tried to include all of the normal McCainiac talking points, but I probably need to work on the personal insults to get it just right.

McCain attacked Obamarama, rightfully so, for being a clueless appeaser concerning his desire to meet with out enemies with no conditions attached. The way McCain has bent over backwards to appease his Democrat buddies and screw every Conservative initiative offered, why would it surprise anyone if he invited The Hildabeast to join "His" ticket.

Why don't you bother trying one time actually listening to Rush instead of just mindlessly reposting your nonsensical Democrat National Committee talking points?
