Disturbed by troubling connections and unflattering publicity, John McCain has just purged several prominent Washington lobbyists from his presidential campaign. Surely his intentions are laudable, but if Sen. McCain is consistent in ridding his campaign of such compromised people, he will find himself riding lonesome on the Straight Talk Express. That's because nearly all of his advisers, fundraisers and top staffers have worked on K Street, starting with his campaign manager, Rick Davis, and his senior adviser and spokesman, Charles Black.
From the beginning, the McCain team has been thoroughly infested with representatives of corporate special interests, from the campaign's national co-chairs, finance chairs, policy and political directors, and deputies of all descriptions down to the chairman of Young Professionals for McCain, who just happens to lobby for Airbus, the European aviation firm that benefited from the Arizona senator's long inquest against Boeing.

As I started to read I glanced up and saw the words “Joe Conason”.
That glance saved me a few minutes of reading utterly worthless, dishonest twaddle.
If there was ever any doubt of McCain’s Open Borders/Amnesty agenda(’I’ve finally seen the border security first light’), it was sealed when he added Open Borders/Amnesty Lobbyist Hernandez to his team.
That’s very true, but I see it as closing the barn door after the horse is stolen.
Where the responsibility of the GOP comes in, is their failure to back a Conservative candidate before the Clown Posse hit the debates way back in June of ‘07. They also failed to reign in the bulk of the incumbent Legislators to uphold Conservative principles and avoid scandal and corruption media circuses.
As far as RINOs and Liberals, just take your pick. Start on the East and West coast. The recent farm bill passed and overridden Presidential veto shows a clear list of who all those RINO’s are. (Some will surprise you.)
Hey, I gave fair warning- too bad the librats won't as they tear their dear friend to shreds.
Congrats. You just won a matching set of McCain whine glasses. You’ll need them to get drunk by on election night to numb the sharp pain of defeat. Your boy is toast and so is the GOP’s chances to run a conservative on the ticket thanks to his arrogant hypocrisy of preaching CFR and holding hands with lobbyists at the same time.
What about that Hernandez character? Bet hes still on board.
I’m sure he is. If anyone is a special interest lobbyist, Hernandez is.
McCain’s biggest problem is his stupidity in believeing that he could fund a campaign with contributions from those diehard, grassroots activists, the “moderates”. I genuinely question the man’s competence.
Sincerely,
Mad
It was his turn. Pitiful....
Juan Hernández, an old member of the administration of president Vicente Fox, dedicates most of his time collecting funds for the presidential campaign of the candidate of the Republican Party, John McCain.... "But not a word from either the MSM or the lefties about McCain Hispanic outreach advisor Juan Hernandez, the former Mexican cabinet official who lobbied aggressively for illegal alien rights and benefits in the US on behalf of a foreign government. He still serves as a fellow at the conflict-of-interest-clouded Reform Institute funded with money from George Soros while continuing to advance Mexicos open-borders agenda and drumming up campaign cash for McCain, most recently, as I reported earlier this month, for Cinco de Mayo.Hernández, linked to Friends of Foxstrategy in which businessmen sent irregular donations to the Fox campaign , serves as the advisor in Hispanic matters of McCain.
From an e-mail of a law firm in Texas, the former director of the Presidential Office for Mexicans abroad during Foxs presidency, invited to celebrate the Cinco de Mayo festivals with John McCain, in Arlington, Virginia.
In the invitation a funds contribution format was enclosed, in which sums were asked that went from a thousand to 9 thousand 200 dollars per couple.
So: What about Juan?"
McCain represents the very worst of Republicanism. The press is sharpening their icepicks and brushing their fangs in preparation for a fall campaign of destroying him.
He will be portrayed as another Bush, as a corrupt old angry white male, and a deranged senior citizen who will die upon entering the Oval Office. His moderation and betrayals of the conservative base will earn him absolutely nothing.
And those are just the true things..
True, and he opens the door wide open for Obambi. The media will tear him a new one and love him for it in the end.
He may not be my dream candidate but in this day and age he is a sure winner, especially when compared with the walking, talking gaffe that is the obamasamma campaign.
Is that "liberal" enough for ya, troll?
That is bad enough on McCain’s part. What was worse was the dissmissing, humiliating way he treated the families of POW’s.
“A government that is big enough to give you all you want is big enough to take it all away” Barry Goldwater
Pretty much tracks with the way he kisses up to liberals and shows contempt for conservatives.
Yes, yes, he does show some consistency.
Your entire response deserves a new thread of it’s own, IMHO. Very well put and not at all well known. Please consider starting a new thread.
