WHY HILL WON'T DROP OUT: BOBBY KENNEDY WAS ASSASSINATED IN JUNE

Hillary Clinton is still in the presidential race, she said today, because "historically, it makes no sense" to quit, and added that, "Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June," making an odd comparison between the dead candidate and Barack Obama.
"People have been trying to push me out since Iowa," she said to the Argus Leader's editorial board.

Ok, I'll take back the moron how about maniac?
"Fruedian slip" very apt. I heard on MSNBC that Hillary's use of Bobby Kennedy death and means of how he died did not just happen today but she has used it several times.

“Finally at post #130 somebody at least raises the possibility that she was simply referring to Kennedy’s active contention for an up-for-grabs Democratic nomination slot as late as June. “
My thought exactly...

“She has jumped the shark now.”
No she hasn’t. The MSM will say how courageous she is for apologizing so quickly.

It doesn't make her example irrelevant because her point was not that campaigning through June is the norm. Her point was about what is possible. It is possible for the frontrunner in late May to end up not the candidate in November. That being the point, it would have been legit if her example went back 140 years or more, rather than just 40 years. What is possible? Not what is average.
Once again people are going round and round being outraged over a statement that EVERYONE knows she didn't mean the way they are taking it. It's ridiculous to me.

What if everyone were killed but her? Wed be sorry we pushed her out early then, wouldnt we?
That is funny in many ways but he notice (the guy from the DU) has to ask if that is ok to think the way he does.

Maybe she can be the next Carville. (I don’t know if Mary would go for it though)

Did anyone actually watch the video of her comments? She is being treated like a Republican. I saw it, and her apology. They've been running over and over on the cable news channels. Hillary's remark was tasteless, and she probably got it from Bill.

I have to......Sorry
Her point was about what is possible. It is possible for the frontrunner in late May to end up not the candidate in November.
Especially if they are assassinated

It is possible for the frontrunner in late May to end up not the candidate in November. No, then she wouldn't have said "I don't understand it", as if it were the norm. Her take was that she was totally perplexed as if it were common. If so, why would she have to dig back forty years to find an example?

Finally at post #130 somebody at least raises the possibility that she was simply referring to Kennedys active contention for an up-for-grabs Democratic nomination slot as late as June. His contention wasn't very active while he was lying on the floor. She should have mentioned the race, not the assassination.

So long as she doesn’t invite Obambi to take tea with Polonius.

It means nothing more than she wants to stay in the race as long as she can. To scandalize this is to have an agenda and to be willing to lie to acheive it Several questions:
- What did Monica Lewinsky find on her desk during the period she was being interviewed by the Special Prosecutor's Office?
- Who called Monica at 2AM to tell her that her friend, Betty Currie's brother, had been killed in a strange car accident, oh, and by the way, they want you to testify against me?
- What was Ron Brown's intended defense strategy against the criminal charges pending against him?
- What were the differences in Jim and Susan McDougal's defense strategies and their outcomes?
I hope you are merely uninformed.
History is history.
You're right about one thing, at least.

This from Dick Morris
Everybody who has thought seriously about the Obama candidacy, including me and probably including the Senator himself, have reflected on the horrible possibility that he would be assassinated. One cannot think about Obama, the Kennedy-esque candidate without worrying about his safety.
But we all observe the discipline of not raising the issue in public. We all worry that to do so would be to encourage some maniac to take a shot.
Now Hillary has violated this unstated but heretofore universal taboo and brought up the possibility. That is not to say that she is hoping for a murder.
But it is to say that the possibility is uppermost in her mind and a significant part of her rationale for staying in the race. And, by raising it, she has made it more possible.

"Oh please, spare me. Hillary knows exactly what she's saying,...OK. But I am just one those people that says, "Here's five different models of what something could mean, and odds are it means #1, but possibilities #2 & #5 are within reason and numbers #3 & 4 are long shots. I bet on Number #1 (a misunderstood gaffe)unless proven otherwise."
On the other hand, if I were Obama, I'd be wearing a bullet-proof vest, testing my food and keeping close to my Secret Service, because yes, Hillary is capable of just about anything in order to win!
