Sedona—In a direct slap to the face of global warming, McCain plans to fire up the old gas barbecue for a moderate Memorial Day hoedown at his Sedona, Arizona home. The barbecue, reportedly a Mexican style fiesta, is attracting possible Vice Presidential running mates.
The theme of the barbecue: “Amnesty For America!”
Some expected to attend include Florida Governor Charlie Crist, Senators Joe Lieberman, I-CT, Lindsey Graham, R-SC and John Kerry, D-MA. Also listed were Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, in what Rush Limbaugh termed “reaching out to the other side.”
“This barbecue is not a partisan affair,” stated Senator John McCain, R-AZ. “We’re all Americans here, and we don’t need that kind of divisive behavior on Memorial Day. That’s too extreme for this candidate!”
“I love Senator McCain,” noted Governor Crist. “Anyone that can win the Florida voters over like I did is the right man for the job in my book. He’s a true son of the South.”
“I’m happy to be invited,” quipped Senator Joe Liberman, I-CT. “I’m so proud of Senator McCain, reaching out to moderates and independents. That shows a true willingness to get things done.”

McCain will play his favorite game—Republican Risk, a game which involves moving your campaign across America and getting as many moderate and democrat votes without losing the conservative base. The fun and frivolity will be on full display at McCain’s Sedona compound, but one thing is for sure that none of it will involve conservatism.
“Limbaugh only wishes his Memorial Day parties were this good,” fired Senator John McCain-R, AZ. “I don’t need Allen Brothers, because I have the tortilla toss. Beat that one, Limbaugh!”
