Architectural Digest does a tour of the McCain's home in Arizona.
Above their photo is a blue tab. Click it and it reveals 10 shots of their home.
...
The initials MC, for McCain, were hand-carved into a mantelpiece made in Guadalajara for the master bedroom. The black-and-white cat was a gift to Senator McCain on his election to the Senate from Orson Swindle, a fellow P.O.W. in North Vietnam.
The "black and white cat" on the mantlepiece that they are referencing is most likely very familiar to Baby-Boomers, who will recognize that cat as Felix the Cat.
"Felix the Cat, The wonderful, wonderful cat. Whenever he gets in a fix, He reaches into his bag of tricks."
Fitting that a fellow POW would give a Felix the Cat to McCain. They all had to have had some "tricks in their bags" to survive imprisonment and torture at the hands of their Communist "hosts."
And it's not at all surprising that the elitist brains at Architectural Digest wouldn't know anything about Felix the Cat.
I quit AD when they ran their second piece on Bill Koch’s place. It was puke city...
This clown wants to push global warming limits on me. You bet I'll get catty. And damn mad too!
“My My - reading through the posts, it’s a bit sad...the cattiness “
True. I sure wish Mr. McCain would give me that job pickin’ lettuce fer $50.00 an hour he promised and then I could get me one of them fine houses.
I want to see his hired help.
Thank you!
We rented a home in Sedona back in 2000 that had a nice patio with an overhang like that. And though it didn't have a pool, it was on the 17th tee of the Oak Creek Country Club, with the red rock formations in the distance, so it was a nice view, and the air was always soft and moist in the back of the house, while in the front, it was hot and dry!

Some eco-friendly goodies are in order!
Am I the only one to notice that this photo shoot of the McCain’s house was done in 2005?
Wow! That’s very interesting. Wonder whose idea it was to give them the prime spot in the mag this month. Regardless, it’s good publicity.
Then your choice is easy - vote for the candidate that ISN"T swallowing the global warming bull - and the candidate that is 100% for each and every thing YOU are for.
Good luck with that
Still there. We saw a portion of the collection at the museum annex in north Scottsdale 3 weeks ago.
