A pastor with integrity will not cover over or absolve this person...

If a person makes a full confession, especially on his deathbed I don't see how a priest would NOT absolve him. After all, this is what Jesus told his disciples.

Some folks don't like the idea of a deathbed confession, because they have the idea that a person is 'getting off scott free', but the Catholic Church teaches that Purgatory is the place where those who are not condemned by God immediately, have the chance to be cleansed before they can see the face of God fully. Their souls are not ready to handle God's Glory. That's why we pray for those who have died, just in case.

In Teddy's case, his family and friends are going to have to do some TALL praying for him.

Ted Kennedy was the “last lion of the Senate.”

And he'll be the next lion in hell. Satan is licking his chops in anticipation.

I don’t believe the Church require public penance in order to receive absolution.

It is necessary when the sin involved has been precisely the sin of lying about what the Church teaches.

The entire cadre of pro-abortion “Catholics” have been teaching the whole Church in America that a person can be pro-abortion and in union with the Church.

That is the sin that requires public retraction.

Since there are priests and bishops in strategic posts who participate in teaching that heresy, this is not going to happen. Kennedy will be permitted to die without repenting, because the only kind of priest who will be allowed near him will be a priest who is “safe,” or “tame.” I.e., a Kennedy-family toady. Kennedy will have a big, splashy funeral, and the scandal will continue.

Kennedy will have a big, splashy funeral, and the scandal will continue.

When he dies, Kennedy will have to face God and accept his judgement. Frankly, whether or not his coffin gets splashed with Holy Water and the priest creates a cloud of incense around it is irrelevant, at that point. I've never let the CINOs, or the priests who allow them to continue in their error, determine what I believe, or how I practice my faith.

It’s irrelevant in the sense that it doesn’t do the deceased any good—IF he’s damned.

It IS relevant in that it is a continuing source of scandal when the Church treats ex-Catholics as Catholics, because it only reinforces the mistaken convictions of those who insist that you can campaign for the killing of 50 million babies, and be a practicing Catholic.

Indeed, Kennedy IS the "Lyin' King".

There is the story of a FreeMason who wanted to confess his sins on his death bed to a Catholic priest.

This occurred in Italy. The FreeMason was not a Catholic.

The house was surrounded by brother FreeMasons who did not want him to confess to a Catholic priest at his death.

However, a grace was granted that the man's wife had a baby girl. The FreeMasons surrounding the house allowed a priest in becuase of the birth -- many families baptize babies as soon as they are born for fear that they might die without being baptized.

The man was able to go to confession.

Many years later, the baby girl, now grown, went to confession in the Vatican. Padre Pio heard her confession and told her he was responsible for her father having a chance for being able to go to confession before his death.

This was unusual, as Padre Pio appeared to the young lady via bilocution.

We’re working on a Ted Kennedy Death Watch Office Pool, but can’t quite figure out how to construct it. We’re thinking it should span 30 months, since the median survival rate is 15 months. We want a grid of rows and columns, and we want to randomly assign the values after the picks are made (just like a football pool). Beyond that, we’re stuck. Any ideas?

Supernatural observations can not make your life easier ie. Cassandra. Cults are developed in as much that there is safety in numbers. I recommend that everyone stand on the leading ledge of a flight deck of an aircraft carrier steaming at top speed to get a grip.
