After recently losing three Republican-held seats, and the potential disaster of losing more this fall, Congressional Republicans just don't get it. Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio) was interviewed by Sean Hannity who almost begged Congressional Republicans to publicly sign a "Contract With America" type document in unison on the U. S. Capitol steps. Boehner wasn't excited about that - noting that Republicans aren't willing to sign off on halting earmarks and other wasteful spending. A great example of their wastefulness is the pork-laden farm bill that was recently passed with Republican help, and now veto-proof thanks to Republican RINOs. Looks like a bleak fall with Pelosi and Reid in total control and, if Hillary or Barack wins, no ability to hold the reins. Hang on to your wallets. You can't count on our elected Republicans any more.
And McCain was pandering to the homosexual activist crowd on TV today. It’s days like this I think “screw it, I hope he loses and we get nuked. At least we can repave and rebuild the party that way”.
Earmarks are the very least of the problesm with the GOP.
Are they referring to farm subsidies as pork, or was there a lot of pork in addition to the farm subsidies? Anyone got examples?
I understand how you feel...I just heard it on Sean’s show with Cong. John Boehnor....But I think what needs to happen is the grassroots people of America need to make a concerted effort to ring the bells of our elected Republicans! We need to go directly to THEM by phone, email etc and give them a wake up call. Just because they feel they don’t need to be putting forward another Contract with America doesn’t mean we as Conservatives should take it laying down! We aren’t dead yet!
People need to understand that the republicans dont care if they are the minority just as long as the pork goes around to all of them.What is the difference between the rats and the ball-less?This guy bonehead is pathetic.

If each congresscritter thinks he can buy himself immunity with earmarks he’s fooling himself.
Maybe they will get epiphany after the November election.

Not to mention subsidies for farmers making up to 2.5 million a year, more ethanol subsidies, increases to food stamps, etc etc.
