Charlie Crist, Bobby Jindal and Mitt Romney better hope John McCain isn't banking on Tony Blankley for guidance on his Veep pick. Newt's former press secretary is blahat beston all three.
Blankley, also the former editorial page editor of the Washington Times and who continues to write a column there, made his remarks on MSNBC's "Race for the White House" this evening as part of a panel reacting to the news that McCain has invited the three governorspast and presentto meet with him over the Memorial Day weekend.
ON CRIST
DAVID GREGORY: What would Governor Crist bring to McCain's ticket?
TONY BLANKLEY: I don't think he brings much. I think if McCain can't carry Florida on his own, he's not going to carry it. He needs to carry something else. I doubt, I don't think he brings much to the ticket.

And you completely missed my point about the fact that blacks, Mexicans, Asians, Africans and Muslims are not going to be tripping over themselves to vote for a ...... drum roll, please ...... Punjabi.
"Minorities" do not all automatically like each other. In fact, they quite often can't stand each other.
Jindal is being pimped by Rush for the same reason that Allen Keyes is pimped by many on FR: Not because they are "minorities" but because they are so conservative that they make Ronald Reagan look like Ted Kennedy.
As I said, the "minority" that is being "pandered" to is conservatives.
But he is far too young. As far as experience goes, if we try to run him as Veep, whenever we argue Obama does not have enough experience, the Left will argue the exact same thing.
Agreed. That is why I mentioned that he is younger than our pet turtle.
That is why I never got on the Katherine Harris Sainthood Bandwagon just because she was a conservative, did her job as Florida Attorney General and looked hot on a horse in tight jeans and a tight T-shirt.
I put experience before pandering to even conservatives.
I suspect that if Jindal is selected....it’ll be because McCain intends to serve four years and retire. Several rumors have suggested that this is his intention. Jindal offers the most intelligent choice for VP...although no national-level experience. But in a debate....he is very sharp and among the top 100 debate politicians in America today.
WAITAMINUTE.... No huckster???? I guess the cultist will be very upset!
“we need a woman on the ticket . end of story .”
Well, McCain is pretty prissy. He’s basically a woman.
