I would have to agree with that. I’m a Southern Baptist, and I would have no problem with Romney. But I’ve noticed that there are a lot of posters on this website, for example, who do. Of course, some of them think he is too liberal. But there are others who just don’t like his religion. And it makes you wonder when someone thought he was too liberal, and yet had no difficulty with the other candidates who were arguably even more liberal.
Michael Steele would be perfect.
If Obama is the nominee, they are going to have a hard time playing that card. He's only been in the Senate for 3+ years, and has no executive experience whatsoever.
And stood up to expose corruption on that Commission.
You know.... John Engler, the former Michigan Governor who had to step down due to term limits is not doing anything right now, he could do a lot worse than him as a VP choice.
Never happen. He's too liberal and his wife's health is too fragile. She could never handle the campaign stress. If it had to be a general I'd put money on Petraeus (sp?).
McCain needs to run Ron Paul as Veep;
in a dress with dark-face...LOL
THOMPSON!
I predict it will be Romney.
1. He’s rich.
2. He’s got a built in nation-wide network of willing workers.
3. He’s trained and primed from his time on the campaign trail.
Anytime “Mormon” gets raised, Romney can up the ante by talking about Wright or Islam....neither is positive for Barack Hussein.
My only problem is that he’s a Cino, but, who knows, maybe 4-8 years could help him consolidate his new conservative talking points into a real change of heart.
And how did JFK's religion affect ANYTHING he did as president? I don't agree with all he did but NONE of those disagreements have anything to do with his Catholicism. But of course, you want to punish Romney because you think your beliefs are better than his even those his beliefs will have NO effect on policy.
The lonely sound of the solitary, Republican partisan who trudged up the hill following the old man who cursed incessantly under his breath,
I agree on Michael Steele. ;-)
He’s an articulate and steady conservative.
In addition .. guest list includes Senator Lindsay Graham of South Carolina, his 'frequent traveling companion'...That is just so gay.
You want someone who could be the the presidential candidate after 2 terms of McCain, and then serve two terms himself.
Thompson would be 82 by the end of his second term.
Cheney has been the exception to this general rule, but I'm really not sure how much Cheney being Vice President, rather than just an adviser, has really been a benefit.
His economic experience as well as his experience in dealing with liberal legislatures does make him very qualified for dealing with our current situation.
There are obviously a lot of people who are unsure or unhappy about what direction he might want to lead us in, but he is at least qualified.
I think the FLDS controversy down in Texas might make McCaimn more cautious about putting him on the ticket.
Yes the FLDS sect (cult) isn't the same as the LDS, but the LDS itself raises concerns for a lot of Americans, and the FLDS situation focuses more attention on Romney's faith than is helpful to the campaign.
How about SIMON? or RUSH?
