Senator John McCain, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, on Friday is scheduled to meet with two Republican governors who have been prominently mentioned as potential running mates, according to Republicans familiar with Mr. McCains plan.
Charlie Crist, the governor of Florida, and Bobby Jindal, the governor of Louisiana, have both accepted invitations to meet with Mr. McCain at his home in Arizona, according to Republican familiars with the decision. One Republican said that Mitt Romney, a former rival of Mr. McCain for the presidential nomination is also expected to visit him this weekend. Mr. Romneys advisers declined to comment.

Crist would be barely acceptable. Jindal could be good. Romney would be great...and I hope McCain doesn’t forget about the following people either:
AK Governor Sarah Palin
SC Governor Mark Sanford (excellent choice)
Fred Thompson
Former MD Lt. Gov Michael Steele

I have to be honest. I’m leaning towards Romney.

I would be willing to bet that he picks Joe Liebermann. Libermann has been following McAmnesty at every event.
McAmnesty has already given us the middle finger on immigration and went pandering to La Raza last week. I wouldn't doubt he'd pick Liebermann as VP candidate.

I've been softening on McCain given the alternative, but no way will I put Crist even near the White House. He's a tree-hugging, man-buggering freak who can't achieve anything meaningfully conservative.

Agreed...None of the above.
- Romney is way too liberal and a Mormon. Might as well have Clinton on the ticket.
- Someone here told me bad things about Crist, but I've forgotten what they were.
- Jindal hasn't had enough administrative experience yet to shore McCain's lack of it up.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he DID choose Hitlery. She would love to be his VP......for about a month. Because that’s about as long as he would last.
