$300 gets you a new Taurus Milennium Pro 45ACP 10+1. If you haven’t owned a Taurus lately, you wouldn’t know. Mine performs well unless firing cheap ammo for practice, then I get 1 stovepipe in 50. Mine has 5,000 rounds through it, no issues.

What kind of good semiauto for $250?

If I only had $250 to spend, I'd spend it on a revolver. If I had money of my own to put with it, I'd get a Springfield XD or a Walther PPS at a $250 discount.
