Michelle Obama IS a Campaign Issue, and a Big One
IsraPundit ^ | 05/20/08 | Bill Levinson

General Sun Tzu wrote 2500 years ago that if an opponent is oversensitive (e.g. to personal insults) you can goad and enrage him into doing something stupid. The Art of War cites a case in which a general sent his opponent a full chamber pot instead of the customary gift. The opponent let his temper get the better of him, and allowed his rage instead of his judgment to guide his decisions. The results were predictable. It seems like the way to stop Obama is to focus more attacks on Michelle Obama, as shown by the following.

If they [Republicans] think that they’re going to try to make Michelle an issue in this campaign, they should be careful, because I find unacceptable the notion that you start attacking my wife or my family.

–Barack Obama

Michelle Obama is an issue in this campaign just as Hillary Clinton’s spouse is an issue. Some Democrats are attacking Cindy McCain just for being a multimillionaire, while Elizabeth Edwards (whose personal character makes her more suitable for public office than her husband) was a positive asset for John Edwards’ campaign. Anyone who participates materially in a political campaign is a legitimate target for campaign-related criticism so, if they can’t take the heat, they should stay out of the kitchen. Michelle Obama can’t express contempt for our country–a contempt that Barack Obama shares as shown by his refusal to respect our National Anthem–by saying she has never been proud of the United States until her husband ran for President, and then expect nothing to be said about it. She can’t write a senior thesis that reinforces a very comprehensive picture of Barack Hussein Obama as a Black Nationalist and very possibly a racist, and then expect it not to become an issue.

Michelle Obama is a classless black racist. Period.

Black women, like Jewish women rule their households with an iron will. The men, after a few years of emotional beating down, usually end up nodding in zombie like agreement with what ever their wives say.

Make no mistake, any Jewish or African American president will be a front for their wives.

I don't mean to trivialize the overbearing intensity of Italian women, but they're minor league compared to the above.

Hard to think of Mrs. Obama as First Lady of the United States, but the Dims are energized, the Pubs are demoralized, and all the momentum points toward victory for the Magic Negro.

If he's saying that "couples" aren't elected to the White House, then he's forgotten 8 years of the Clintons.

Outspoken, strong-willed, opinionated spouses make themselves an issue, be they male or female.

In his attempt at appealing to women in "protective husband" mode, is he suggesting Michelle can't take care of herself? Michelle, the Harvard grad??? I don't buy it.

If the most damaging thing we can do is say that his wife is a liability, then we don’t have much to say. Anyone who would vote against him because of what his wife says would vote against him anyway.

It’s an issue. We saw what co-President Hillary was like, do we really want another one in office?

She should be above reproach. There should be no controversy, not because he says “hands off”, but because there is nothing controversial.
Examples: Laura Bush (absolute class act), Nancy Regan (only “issue” was a little astrology on the side)

And the Clinton’s multi-millions locked away in “foundations”. Probably tax-exempt at that.

So, this sounds like some sort of threat - does anyone here have any idea what he has in mind for all of us if we continue to make Michelle an issue in this campaign? In other words, if we are not careful, what's going to happen to us?

As an aside - a cartoon this week relating to Bush's terrorist appeasers remarks has Bush talking to reports, stating......

Whao!.......Barack up a minute.....Hussein I'm talking about Obama?

Read the article. A single piece of a jigsaw puzzle doesn’t mean much by itself but, when you put it together with the others, you get a complete picture. Michelle Obama’s thesis is CONSISTENT with her husband’s Black Nationalism and racist associations.

I've dated both types. Beyond the skin color and the sex, there's no damned difference between the two.

God made em in the same batch of brew.

Oh Michelle is one of the best things that could happen to the Republican Party. Give her the spotlight! Give her a microphone! Tell her to keep talking!

As for Barack--he'll do the rest! Make sure he get lots of coverage too!

I would bet that, behind closed doors, the Democrats are in full panic mode over these two over-educated fools.

I’ve seen it several time; Michele quoted as not being proud of America until Barack ran for president.

Why is that? Any natural citizen over 35 (?) years old can run for President. Will she be proud of America if he runs and loses? Wonder why she wasn’t proud of American when Condi Rice was named S.O.S? Colin Powell? Clarence Thomas?

I think she is more than just racist.

I see an Ivy League version of Cynthia McKinney. Crazy like the outhouse rat to boot.

At least Marge Simpson is obedient. When I tell my wife to “beer me”, she says “go beer yourself”!
