What about the range before re-charge and how long to recharge? I take a couple of trips from the east coast to Chicago a year, will the car have the endurance for 750 miles of driving? There a electric/gasoline hybird will be better, like the Saturn Hybird Vue.
By and large, the market is responding — as it should under capitalism. It’s a shame the foreign companies appear to be bolting out of the gate taking a huge lead.
How about just a reasonably priced converter kit for the gasoline ones? Many of us don’t want a new car if we can fix up the old ons. Make it solar and if it works it will sell.
