What will matter most for McCain is his VP pick. He has to choose someone who is acceptable to conservatives. He has the opportunity to make amends with them, and I think that most are open to supporting him, if he’ll let them. But choosing a RINO running mate would be a fatal mistake.

Conservatism IS conservatism and liberalism IS liberalism, whether you or I or any person grading McCain, are perceptive enough and objective enough to see it.

You're workin' too hard at tying to prove you're RIGHT. Like I said.. THERE ARE NO ABSOLUTES".

Easiest...ever. X=X...

Not for you.

He has repeatedly said that he would pick someone who shares his beliefs and would follow through on HIS agenda. Since that agenda includes, at the top of the list, global warming regulation and a wrong-headed position on illegal immigrants, I seriously doubt his veep pick is going to make a whole lot of difference.

Obviously I'm afflicted with:

Electile Dysfunction: The inability to become aroused over any of the choices for president put forth by either party in the 2008 election year.

Now be a nice little boy and go flip your minnow.

Well, then you are going to have to post the official rules of conservatism, so that we will all know what is to be known as total, true conservatism and how to judge from there.

There are different definitions or concepts for the word "conservatism". Those would be semantical differences.

Whatever concept or definition one uses, there are absolute truths about whether somebody meets those specific concepts.

Anyway, I don't think by using most reasonable definitions of conservative, that John McCain's voting record can be judged to be a 7 out of 100.

LOL.

I support no candidate at this time. But that doesn't stop you from setting up a strawman fallacy...and then beating it.

I had rather to have an old president (even if he died in office) than to have an evil President, lacking loyalty to America and it’s people. I can see Obama standing in the corner with all of his evil friends, and I do know that birds of a feather, do flock together. I think that Saudi Arabia must be buying up votes for Obama.

Love it when the left brings up McCains age. Indiana Jones is 65 and John Paul Stevens is 88 or 89.

I can handle a president in his 70’s.
