Complaining to the MSM makes us feel good but I have not seen it helping as much as one would think it should.

Instead, I am writing various Republicans telling them I want to support them, and my opinion on this issue or that is (Fill in the blank here).  One of the complaints legislators have is not being told by constituents how they feel on issues or supporting them when they go up against Democrats.

Democrats could run on taxing away all income and wealth over $20,000,000, after all, Soros, Buffet, Kerry, Kennedy and the Clinton’s could still live comfortable off twenty million dollars by Democrat logic.

Good one, no way we can trust Congress to do the right thing. They have to be babysat and this bill is full of loopholes designed to destroy any local intervention for local govts. controlling illegals.

they just get nothing done, and blame each other for not being able to get things done....

Re: your post awhile back on the Pubbies not exploiting the energy issue for all the ways the Dems have screwed it up, agreed.

I’m not quite sure how to frame it, but I can see a ‘global responsibility’ pitch appealing to moderates. that we’ve been irresponsible in so limiting and outsourcing energy production, when there’s no doubt we’d do it with more environmental sensitivity than many other nations, we are no longer generating ‘our fair share’ even though we’ve the capacity, and even that we’re directly to blame for food crises in the third world if we don’t step up the way we should.

Further good news we can use to couch it in is how much the technology has advanced in terms of protecting the environment over the past few decades.

One last good hit can be how much hamstringing our economy re: energy may not hurt those here in the US who are already comfortable, but that it will put a real crimp on the level of health care, for example, that our economy will effectively be able to support for the less fortunate here at home.
