MODERATOR'S NOTE: NOT THE TIME AND PLACE FOR CERTAIN COMMENTS. YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT
WHDH TV reports (via MSNBC) that Sen. Ted Kennedy has been airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital. Reuters reports that he was showing signs of a stroke and was sent to a Cape Cod hospital first and was then airlifted to Massachusetts General.

I dislike the guy also.
But we don’t want to sound like KOS or most of the loony lib sites that wish dismemberment and death on anyone who disagrees with them.

even though i don’t like his politics, i’ll try to remember that he is a human being and pray for his family the strength to get through this. hopefully he will retire now.

Actually, considering the power and money Senator Kennedy has, the hospital probably didn’t want the responsibility.

I said a prayer for Ted.
A stroke can be devastating.

If Ted were to be incapacitated or were to pass on
perhaps MA Gov Deval Patrick would appoint former
Cong. Joe “Do You Know Who I am??” Kennedy (one of
Bobby’s sons) just to keep the Kennedy name in there...
who knows.

Oh no, very sad, quick prayer for him. Terrible.

Yes. He's been carrying way more than his heart wants to support, I'm sure. And he's 76? I think whatever happens, his political days are probably over.
As for all the jokes about his drinking catching up with him, frankly, I think the drinking is what kept him from having a stroke ten years ago. (I'm convinced alcohol is good for you. Geez, I wish it was noon already...)

Don’t care for his political existence, but I’ll say little prayer.
