MODERATOR'S NOTE: NOT THE TIME AND PLACE FOR CERTAIN COMMENTS. YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT
WHDH TV reports (via MSNBC) that Sen. Ted Kennedy has been airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital. Reuters reports that he was showing signs of a stroke and was sent to a Cape Cod hospital first and was then airlifted to Massachusetts General.
Preayers lifted for him and his family.
Airlifted to a different hospital? Yep, that is serious.
Prayers for Sen. Kennedy
He’s going to have to take better care of himself if he wants to keep working as hard as he does. (I’m sorry, that’s about as gracious as I can be for someone who works against all I hold dear.)
I can’t think of anything nice to post so I’ll keep my comments to myself.
Ditto!
Having JF’nK (He served in VietNam you know) become MA’s senior Senator is indeed serious.
Love him or not, he’s truly the last of that Kennedy generation. I’m surprised he hasn’t suffered from more medical problems considering his known history of indulging in a few too many drinks in the past.
I keep thinking he needs to lose some weight. It’s not healthy for older men to keep on pounds.
You know, as hard as it is for us to understand, a lot of Massachusetts people really love Teddy Kennedy. He would be greatly missed there.
so far nothing on Boston Herald/Boston Globe sites but
WBZ-TV says “U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy was airlifted to a Boston hospital Saturday morning after falling ill at the Kennedy compound in Hyannisport.”
and from Boston’s Ch 5
Sen. Edward M. Kennedy was rushed by ambulance to Cape Cod Hospital after falling ill at the Kennedy compound in Hyannisport, The Cape Cod Times reported Saturday.
Hyannis fire responded to the compound after a call was made around 8:30 a.m., the newspaper reported on its Web site. It’s unclear what Kennedy’s medical condition is, but after he spent almost two hours in the emergency room a decision was made to transfer him to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
CNN quoted a source as saying that Kennedy was suffering from “stroke-like symptoms.”
Kennedy, 76, was placed on a stretcher and wheeled out to the MedFlight helicopter around 10:15 a.m. where it took off from Barnstable Municipal Airport, the newspaper reported.

Wow, this doesn’t sound good. He’ll get the best at Mass General though.
Kristinn do you have a link? I’ll try MSNBC.
