Where I disagree with John McCan - is that marriage is too important a matter to be left to the states and liberals. It must be enshrined in the U.S Constitution.

It is sad that our country has gotten to that point though. What next, courts gonna tell us 1+1=3.

Do you think that November’s ballot initiative will win with 60%, like in 2000, or has the state changed a lot in 8 years?

“are pretty much in agreement” on marriage, as the New York Times reported, since both favor legal protections for same-sex couples and oppose same-sex marriage as well as the federal marriage amendment.’
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>...................
The facts are : vote for lesser of two evils and we get what we got in California with the good GOP governor supporting the Homosexual agenda..
those supporting Mccain this is the result of voting in
a Rino..you will get stabbed in the back every time.

General Thought: “Immorality breeds chaos”....and that’s exactly where we are...Homosexual marriage, killing babies, creating legal loopholes...

I don’t even know if we have enough names to qualify for the ballot?
I’ve been looking but haven’t been able to find out.

To answer your question, if it makes the ballot, I predict it will pass. I “think” you only need 51% to win passage; but don’t hold me to that.

“has the state changed a lot in 8 years?”

Truth be known, I believe the STATE has become more outraged by this issue than in 2000.

I heard a ballot initiative sponsor on the radio, and he said they had something like 2X the names they needed. He said the homogoons are trying to defeat the initiative by challenging the signatures, but that they have no chance. They have way more names than they need. The initiative is going to be voted upon, he was confident of that. The outcome, we can only hope.

It must be enshrined in the U.S Constitution.

As if courts respect that anymore.

“or has the state changed a lot in 8 years?”

Lots more Latinos, and not just illegals.

In the case of same-sex, the latin vote would actually help.

California is a perfect example of how this country is going down hill fast. When the people are over ruled by the black robes, it’s time for the people to take over the states again. It was done once.....it can be done again.

The media are content to say that the candidates "are pretty much in agreement"

Of course the "Media" (i.e. the Democrat Propaganda Machine) will promote Obama and do its best to defeat McCain. That's goes without saying.

The election of McCain to the Presidency depends to a great extent on the Republicans' effectiveness in informing the electorate of the truth and overriding the propaganda of the Democrat Propaganda Machine--and that's a scary thought considering the Republicans' amazing prestidigitation in plucking defeat from the esophagus of victory.

Remember when California--with its enormous economy and breathtaking resources--appeared to be the bright, golden future of the world? Now it teters on the brink of bankruptcy; it can't affort to repair its potholed roads; instead of the envy of the world, it's the laughing stock!

Remember when Detroit was a bright, bustling, prosperous big city, full of promise and excitement? Now it's a Third World Hellhole!

This is the future of the United States, if the American people are foolish enough to allow the Left to have its way.

If they can, Leftists--and the Democrat Party is their Political Machine, the "Mainstream Newsmedia" their Propaganda Machine--will damn the entire United States (thank you, Jeremiah!) to becoming a Third World Laughing Stock Hellhole!

Post-modernism:

Killing in-womb babies is good. Killing snail darter is bad.

Sticking your penis in a male anus is normal and psychological healthy. Traditional nuclear family is bad.

Lawyers in black robes overruling the will of the people is good. Democracy is bad.

Ruth Buzzi Ginsbarf will be delighted when men can legally have “consensual” sex with 12 year old boys once Obama appoints three Trotskyite ACLU, pro-NAMBLA lawyers like herself to the SC.

Jesus, please come back and save us!

I don’t think it will pass this year. That is my prediction. The activists will say it is a mean ballot measure prohibiting the enforcement of a decision already ok’ed by the courts. The sheeple will agree.

It's only a gift for McCain if he decides to emphasize the issue, which he apparently isn't going to do.

It should be a gift that stops the bleeding and helps Republicans regain Congressional seats in the South but it appears that Republican party, including beltway conservatives, are too ignorant to realize that social issues are the keep to maintaining and winning back seats in places like Louisiana and Mississippi.

In an ordinary election, this would be a gift from God Almighty to the Republicans.

I expect McCain to squander it and continue his jihad against conservatives, lest he be branded by his friends in the Democrat media as divisive.

We have all of these wedges (e.g. working class jobs versus enviro-loons) and McCain is refusing the use them. This sucks.
